- Today's Mordhau gameplay video features my Halberd build, Jim Halberd. This was one of my first "character" builds that I made for the channel and he's essentially the same he was when he debuted.
In Mordhau, the Halberd is a top-tier weapon. The Halberd has the longest reach of any polearm, and is second only to the spear as far as overall reach with a melee weapon goes.
To achieve that extra-long reach with the Halberd, you must use it in alt mode, with extends the weapon from its default 135cm reach, to 160cm reach. You sacrifice the ability to combo (continuously swing) attacks by putting it in alt mode, but sometimes that extra reach is worth the speed.
If you're looking for technical stats for the Halberd's alt mode in Mordhau: by swapping into the alt mode you're adding 50ms to the windup and 100ms to the recovery of every swing, not to mention the inability to combo swings, one into the next.

I love the fact that you’re super chill, not getting annoyed, memeing here and there, all while you’re actively engaging in fights and pushing + helping others.
Mordhau is a great game, sad it’s passing away slowly.
The only thing that would improve this video is to add your facecam in the corner so you can Jim-face whenever something sketchy happens.

playtime. over time you can read feints *better*, but yes, chambers were put in the game as a way of "checking" a swing windup!

You should create a Billhook loadout called Barry Diche, a name so good I think it should be spread around, though I didn't come up with it because I'm too dumb.

Winning is not what is important, but objectives may give more time to fight valiantly on the field of battle. Imagine all the cabbages you can throw with the extra time! I think you would hate the way I play. Primarily support team to then win. It is important to me to have several people like you who will kill, as that is not my role/class. Imagine being surrounded by happy meals at all times, and having a portal to the front lines. No shield ofc, shields are for babies.
