the wisdom of Shanks consists in don't let his power consume him. he seems to be the same guy of the early episodes even when he is a yonko. being an apprentice or one of the most powerful pirates in the world didn't make him change. Not in a naive way. He knows who he is, what he represents, the power he has (in all senses), and what he can do. but that didn't make him change, he uses the same cloth (now he uses a cape, but that's it), treats everyone with the same respect, and does not demand anything from anyone (just those who attack him)... means he won't use his powers to subjugate anyone, to explore anyone. he is the ideal leader.
I have never even considered Shanks from this point of view, and yet after watching this video it seems so natural, so obvious. Great video, analysis Worj strikes again
He should see this as an opportunity to tell people detailed & understandable why he thought that the raid would fail. Nobody’s gonna question him when the video is released and successful lol
This extends to Rogers greatness as well when you consider he essentially raised Shanks as a son. All of these qualities were instilled in him from the Pirate King
In light of what you said about Shanks' CoC haki being different, and coming from both kindness and the need to protect his friends (I'd argue that Whitebeard might be more similar to Shanks too as opposed to the other users), don't you think that, since those are his strongest suits, Sanii could unlock it as well?
Morj can you please please please make a video on why the first chapter of one piece is Shanks teaching Luffy to not fight people who insult you. I get the message of, what i don't get is why was this the first thing that we learn from shanks? Is there a main villain(Imu) who will contrast with Luffy here, by fighting useless battles of pride? Usopp fights back against an insult to luffy's dream, and that is treated as his heroic moment. Roger would go after anyone who spoke I'll of his crew. Was that a flaw? Ace chose to fight Akainu over an insult, leading to his death. Blackbeard however seems to understand what shanks was saying there. Interestingly, Kidd is the only important rival in the story who definitely doesn't understand this sentiment, as he actively burns down places over insults. Basically can you do a video on pride in one piece? Because I think it is a lot more subversive than other anime here and I don't know exactly what it's trying to say
This is one of the best video I have ever watched on Shanks. And also to be able to pick all these messaging and lessons is truly a masterpiece from your side, truly love your analysis. The way you present this is truly an art in itself, mad respect to your creativity and analysis.
Shanks is a mixture of Roger and Rayleigh... The values that he learned from those two legends makes him this model character in the story that Luffy aspires to be like.
But jiraiya was full of flaws. Rayleigh is also not the ideal model. He didn't even show up at marinford despite his former captain's son has been executed. He was just chilling with his wife drinking booze
Rayleigh's role in piracy is over. He does side missions like saving the SHs at Shabondy, training Luffy or saving Boa but in the big picture he plays no part at all.
Shank is just like Buggy we have never seen him actually do anything, but everyone stops just from his clout and hype In universe that's exactly how Buggy has been getting ahead in life, except that we get access to the behind the scenes and know that he is just hype Similar to Kaido, he was hyped up as the strongest creature in the planet, and yet we got the end we got, the raid did not fail The only way for Shanks to not disappoint is for people to never find out if the hype behind him is real or not
Shanks is Roger's apprentice. What he knows, what he does, and what he seeks to accomplish makes every Marine and Pirate fear and respect the Red-Haired Yonko. Regarding Shanks' skill in swordsmanship and combat, I think all of the skills he utilizes are similar to how Roger fought. Shanks to me is Roger's herald who paves the way for the future Pirate King who will accomplish Joy Boy's dream of a unified and free world.
I think another great part of his character is his willingness to not only tolerate the younger generation, but to actively encourage and be willing to step aside to their growing importance and power.

Haven’t watched the video but fantastic work morj, peak video, peak analysis, W youtuber
Morj don’t be afraid be proud and Release the fuck*ng wano analysis bro
We’re waiting dude
Why is he afraid his analysis are his best and most viewed videos lol
@@amandostrauchhaus3431 💯
He should see this as an opportunity to tell people detailed & understandable why he thought that the raid would fail. Nobody’s gonna question him when the video is released and successful lol
this is why I could never get behind the “Shanks is evil” theories
Exactly.
Shanks is too massive!
This extends to Rogers greatness as well when you consider he essentially raised Shanks as a son. All of these qualities were instilled in him from the Pirate King
He is a monster don’t not cross. RIP Jaggy
Kinda crazy how all of current new Yonkos are related to Shanks in one way or another
And how all the previous Yonko make a face at the thought of Shanks haha
In light of what you said about Shanks' CoC haki being different, and coming from both kindness and the need to protect his friends (I'd argue that Whitebeard might be more similar to Shanks too as opposed to the other users), don't you think that, since those are his strongest suits, Sanii could unlock it as well?
This video was too good. It felt like I was listening to a narrator of a novel. If I could I would have liked a hundred times.
Theres a qoute in Isaac Asimovs 'Foundation' series: "Violence is the last refuge of the Incompetent"
Shanks is the ideal of a man I aspire and strive to become in all his facets
The sage has to die
He just has to
It's inevitable...
Sorry Morj but (5:39) he won't be rolling up one of his sleeves anytime soon lol
The BIG GOOD sounds so unga bunga I'm sorry💀
I truly believe the blanket mysteriousness behind Shanks is what makes him a very intriguing character. Causing fans to want to see him more
Man you really are the best One Piece UA-camr. These analysis really put you on another level.
Awesome vid Morj! Cant wait for when we finally find out what Roger told Shanks when he was a kid. Glad we’re finally seeing more of him in the manga
Thats cool and all but where's the Wano themes analysis?
This is one of the best video I have ever watched on Shanks. And also to be able to pick all these messaging and lessons is truly a masterpiece from your side, truly love your analysis. The way you present this is truly an art in itself, mad respect to your creativity and analysis.
shanks videos always hit
The MorjPiece is REAL
So we just gonna forget about Rayleigh? If anything, he's Jiraiya. He actually trained Luffy and is Shanks' OG.
Rayleigh is Luffy's master, but he has nothing in common with the role Morj talks about in this video
Rayleigh's role in piracy is over.
He does side missions like saving the SHs at Shabondy, training Luffy or saving Boa but in the big picture he plays no part at all.
Shank is just like Buggy we have never seen him actually do anything, but everyone stops just from his clout and hype
In universe that's exactly how Buggy has been getting ahead in life, except that we get access to the behind the scenes and know that he is just hype
Similar to Kaido, he was hyped up as the strongest creature in the planet, and yet we got the end we got, the raid did not fail
The only way for Shanks to not disappoint is for people to never find out if the hype behind him is real or not
Shanks is Roger's apprentice.
