Gabby's retaliation for not being picked reveals that his interaction with her is the LEAST significant thing that happened on the show. She's still trying to control him now with her "he should have kept it a secret. He shamed me." bullsh*t. LEAVE HIM ALONE. QUIT HARASSING THE COUPLE. KATIE'S AMAZING. THEY ARE AMAZING. MOVE ON. It's great to see that the both of them made it to the end but honest take I don't see Zach taking a step forward towards the direction of marriage. After watching this season and seeing how everything unfolded there were a lot of lies and broken hearts not from his decision to say 'no' but the dishonesty. I noticed how Kaity is doing the most talking on specific topics and seeing his reaction towards the word "marriage" and the steps towards the wedding planning was self-explanatory (2:55).
Idk i saw their interview at the end of the episode and he seems excited. He also mentioned having kids with her.
They need time to be truly getting to know each other and live in the real world. They should enjoy this time and Zach def wants to follow his parents ei of a long marriage and Kaity will be thrilled to have a father-in-law and def have a father role model. His parents and sisters looked quite happy w/ Kaity’s visit. Best wishes and hope this couple lasts.

I love these two, I hope they make it. Kaity was a favorite of mine from night one. I wish in a way, Zach would have broke his "no sex" rule with Kaity and not Gabi, in fact, i would have cut Gabi half way through the show.
What?! I thought he broke it with Kaity?! Why would he do that with Gabi knowing Kaity was his choice. And then NOT do it with Kaity when he knew it was her?! I'd be pissed either way!
It bugs me when he says "it was you, it always was." So how in the hell did you sleep with Gabi, why did you strong her along when Gabi expressed she's always second. The damage he did to her, knowing what he knew, could have been prevented. He should have told her good bye before the final rose. And Gabi was right she could sense the distance. And I almost hate to say it he also humiliated her sharing that they had sex.
For reals. And her to know oh so you knew it was me but still got one last hoorah in. Very cringe.
Because he’s speaking of hindsight. When you look through the lense of hindsight it always seems like the person you end up with was the one all along.

@@stellashepherd3229 He actually admitted to Kaity he knew it was her on their last date. Yet to Gabi he said I didn't know until the night before. As a viewer it was obvious it was Kaity but the production does a good job of confusing things and maybe they even confused him. Doesn't change the fact he keeps saying it because that is hurtful to say on TV but then tell Gabi again and again he didn't know until last minute.
Here is my general comment on the Gabi-Katie-Zach issues. First, was it right for Zach to develop a unilateral mandate regarding intimacy during the fantasy suites week? I do not think there is an absolute right or wrong answer to this question. Assuming he is not lying, and I see no evidence to support such a proposition, his intentions were good. He clearly presents evidence of wanting to find a true love with a woman with who he can share his life. He thought introducing sex into the equation might complicate things. His error, in my opinion, and importantly as viewed in retrospect, was addressed by both Ariel and Katie. As Katie said, Zach was not the only one on the journey, and as Ariel pointed out, the mandate was unilateral, and in retrospect, should not have been made up front. Zach is a young man, I was his age once, and I guarantee I made equally misguided decisions, but I was fortunate enough not to have them broadcast on national TV. I have always stated that mistakes can, and will be made. What is important is to own your mistakes, make amends where possible, and learn from them and do not make them again. Going forward with Katie, Zach must remember that she is an equal partner, and it does seem that he treats her as such post-engagement. He has apologized for the error in judgement, and has stated what he did wrong (again, in retrospect). Life in complex, as in the scientific view of complexity, in being nonlinear. Next, did Zach lead Gabi on? Again, assuming Zach is not lying, and again, the evidence is to the contrary, he truly did not solidify his decision until after seeing Katie on the last chance date, which apparently occurred subsequent to the last chance date with Gabi. Lying about the order would be foolish to the nth degree, and I haven't seen anyone come up and state the Zach is lying about the order of the dates. As such, until that point where Zach saw Katie at the last chance date, he had not committed, as he would say, his heart, to either woman yet. Therefore, he did not cheat on Katie with Gabi in terms of intimacy. He did not use Gabi given that she was still in the running, so to speak. If he had chosen Katie prior to the fantasy suites week, then perhaps Zach could be accused of nefarious intentions, but again, the evidence is to the contrary. Could he have gotten in touch with Gabi immediately prior to the final rose ceremony and told her of his decision? Perhaps, but given that none of us (in all likelihood) has read and signed the contract with the show's producers/legal team, it may well be that he was prevented from doing so. Also likely, given what seems to be honest good intentions from Zach, ha wanted to say the positive things he did to Gabi. My final point: Katie and Zach seem to be genuinely in love, and both seem to want their love to work and last through the ups and downs of life together. They had 10 weeks to find each other, fall in love, and appear to be doing well. Ten weeks is quick, but I can provide evidence that it can be long enough. I met my wife in January, and by the middle of March, proposed and she amazingly said yes. The was over 36 years ago, and yes, we got married in July of the same year. True lasting love is a rarity, and should be celebrated and protected. Cheers to Zach and Katie, roll with the punches, enjoy each other, and cheers always!

2 years is not that long, they’ve only known each other for a couple of months and spent the majority of that time filming the show together, not hanging out every day. It takes a year+ to plan a big wedding anyway.

Looking at some of his actions in dealing with the women, he tried so hard to get everything “right.” He made a mess of things going into the Fantasy suite dates. However, life is a learning process. His sisters have great insight into his personality. He needs time. Wishing them well.
You gotta wonder how much the whole environment of filming the show affected his reasoning? Being in that bubble for months has to have had some affect on him.
