Rchery Vision. Many thanks for your great videos Robert. Learned so much and was so happy to found your videos. Will come to your channel shortly. Greetings from Germany, Alex
Rcrchery vision. Great video, had my wife video me shooting tonight and my form was perfect. Your video a couple weeks ago really helped my shoulder on bow arm. You have changed my shooting immensely since starting back up with these podcasts. I shoot 50 arrows every night in my basement if I can’t shoot outside strictly working on form and keeping bow strength up. I’m 68 and you loose archery strength pretty fast if you don’t keep shooting. Merry Christmas and a great new year. 🏹🏹🦌🏔️🏕️
I’m glad to hear they’ve been a great help. Indoors can be hard on the game for sure. I like to start out up close to the target and just work my way out to 20 again to build up my form and shot execution.
Rchery vision Merry Christmas Robert, quick appreciation note on your work, pretty sure I’ve watched (and learned from) every one of your videos. Keep up the amazing work, Merry Christmas to you and yours
I have an 8 year old that I bought a used Bear Cruzer for Christmas. I am trying to teach some fundamentals but also keep it fun for him. It's a fine line. Maybe you could make a video with this concept. Been working on range safety, bow safety, stance, how to draw a bow. Less on shooting form. Just aim and have fun.
@rcrchery my holding weight is around 15.5 pounds, my reason for using lower elbow angle is so that i could use more of my lats and core to hold my body up straight at 50 meters, at 18 meters/20 yards i would use higher elbow
I have to see a baseline and get a better understanding on direction at the shot and follow through as well as the steadiness of the hold compared to what it felt like to me.
It's a combination of having the draw length and loop length correct mostly. Using the correct muscles to draw as well. The back muscles mostly taking the load force on the draw. Then when you get to full draw you're just transferring the left over hold to the back as much as possible and relaxing the tops of the shoulders/neck area some. If the draw length or loop length are too long or short though you'll hold tension in the shoulders and neck to support the system.
Sorry to hear that! The Supra needs a little more front weight for most people, which sounds strange but you might give it a try to see how it holds. Also having the top cam hit a little before the bottom helps me as well.
Thanks man@@rcrchery. Booked to see someone on 27th to fine tune (I don't have a press) I've fudged things by adjusting vertical height on rest, to get rid of vertical high tear but this cannot be right. When I get rid of vertical tear by adjusting rest height, it means that I go from a 90° arrow on rest to a pointing down of arrow on rest. I'm sure this contributes to low hold. Keep up with the great vids man. Much appreciated :)

Archery vision!
Rchery Vision, happy holidays Robert. My right elbow is a bit lower than yours so the line will intersect slightly above my lower grip point
Thank you, happy holidays! You must pull a little harder into the backwall than I do. What’s your holding weight?

Solid video! Are you using the mantis to virtually track your hold?
I have to see a baseline and get a better understanding on direction at the shot and follow through as well as the steadiness of the hold compared to what it felt like to me.
Great video. Still don't understand - how do you relax your shoulders at full draw?
It's a combination of having the draw length and loop length correct mostly. Using the correct muscles to draw as well. The back muscles mostly taking the load force on the draw. Low hold has pretty much made me want to throw my supra x into a bush. Cheers for the vid bud
