    Hi, I'm from Austria. I own a K100 Mk23 since half a year now. When I saw it I instantly fell in love with it and had to buy it. I was looking for a hammerfired, optics ready duty Pistol, which is not an easy task. After 3 month I sent the K100 back to Grand Power for the installation of the decocker. This can only be done ain the factory. When you push the decocking lever down, it stays down and you can shoot double-action-only, nice for training.
    I like the unusual technic of the rotating barrel. Recently I mounted a GPO SPECTRA Pistol DOT which is great too. I like the changeable backstraps.
    For me and my need it is perfect.

      Yes, I own a few deckocker Mk12 models, but unfortunately we don't have any Mk23 decocker models in the US.

    I have been looking for one of these to handle. Personally I'm impressed with what i saw from the previous model, and rhe improvement in traction and optics mounting is a nice bonus.

    If they get the decocker model imported I'll buy one,
    Another note is they need to update the p45 with these slide Cuts Optics cut grip texture.
    That would be so sweet I just feel like such an outcast loving the 45 auto so much at 21 it feels like I should be in the retirement home with the rest of the people that share my opinion.

      Let Global Ordnance know you want a decocker. I get dozens of comments like this each week, but no one tells the importer.

    Thank you for sharing this video. My husband and I have added the Grand Power K100 MK 23 to our firearms collection. It's an exceptionally well made pistol. For the price being around $600.00 your getting a high quality pistol.
    No negative experience with the pistol.
    You're review's on the Grand Power are appreciated. We had very little knowledge about this outstanding firearms manufacturer prior to finding your UA-cam channel.
    We wish you and Teya a great evening 😄 🙏

    Another excellent video, I've been seriously considering a Q100 MK23

    This vs Beretta Px4 is the current analysis - optics ready is a big bump

    • @gulkash1188
      @gulkash1188 3 місяці тому

      I would absolutely take this over the px4. I just got to shoot one of the px4 Langdon pistols and the lack of any meaningful traction on the grip was very apparent

      @@gulkash1188but how about the recoil.?

      I have both and greatly prefer the Grand Power. The only thing I like better about the PX is the decocker. The PX4 has more aftermarket support but not as much as you'd think.

    I have the old version and had it cut for optics. I fell in love with it again. I put a RMRsc on it. And a olight Valkery.

    I've been bitten by the GP bug. I love my MK12 X-Cal. In fact, I love it so much, it starts to piss me off since it shoots better than guns I dropped hundreds into to shoot like an X-Cal. I want a K100 now. Debating between the X-Trim or the Mk23 K100.

    Question: Because of the non-tilting barrel doesn't it improve the overall operation of the firearm as a suppressor host.? In other words, do I need a booster to use a suppressor?

    • @gbgunsmedia
      @gbgunsmedia 3 місяці тому +1

      You'd first need to find a threaded barrel and then would need a unique variant of the Nielsen device. Grand Power makes them, but I've never seen one in the US.

      @@gbgunsmedia The Mrs. and I took it back to our pistol range. We both liked it, expecialy in SA. We both thought that the DA was very long and stiff. It ate everything we fed it with no problems. Love the "birthday bump".

    Recoil comparison, and if I only can get one, SAR 9c gen 3 or Grand Power Q1 MK 23?

    Grand Power for the win ! Thanks for update. Do you know of a company making kydex holsters for the GP pistols? I am looking at the P1 MK23. Thanks.

    • @AllPurposeBen

      Red Hill Tactical makes holsters for them, mostly for competition but I think they have an IWB too.

      Falco makes all sorts of variants, including many not on their website. Email them and tell them what you're looking for.

    PX-4 Storm was the 1st gun I wanted, but then micro 9's came out and I bought a S&W PC Shield. But I learned to shot on revolvers and have never understood why so many guns use strikers instead of hammers. All of that to ask, personally, the K or Q model and why?

    • @watariovids1645
      @watariovids1645 3 місяці тому +2

      Strikers are cheaper and simpler to manufacture is a major contributing factor.

    • @comacoda
      @comacoda 3 місяці тому +1

      I like them both. K series is the most versatile. I do really like the Q trigger but most might find it too light for carry. The Q trigger to me is really good and predictable but my trigger finger spent a decade shooting a Hammerli match rimfire so I prize a crisp surprise break....

      For concealed carry an exposed hammer can catch on a draw.
