The gameplay doesn’t impress me, but those magic folding boards are definitely THE most interesting game design mechanic I have seen in this years crop of mostly blah titles. Hopefully, it will influence future games.

This looks like a great game. One I definitely would like to add to my collection at some point.
One question I have is the price point. Is it currently hard to come by/out of print and as such it is pushing the price a bit higher? (I see it on Amazon currently at $99 US Dollars +shipping). Or is that the standard MSRP of the game?
I know some games can get in that price range especially if/when they come with a large amount of components.
As always thank you for a wonderful video.

at essen spiel it cost 55 euro. i'm sorry to say i don't know what available is like now. you might want to post on boardgamegeek in the keyper forum, and i'm sure you'll get answers from folks more knowledgeable than me...

rahdo Thank you so much for the quick response. From my rudimentary Google search the Euro to US ratio isn't horribly different than what I found on Amazon. (55 Euros would be approximately 66 US dollars. So a bit of a mark up admittedly).
I will also take your advice and check out boardgame geek.
My husband would also one day love to return to Germany, he went in highschool as he was learning the language and stayed with family friends. I told him should we get the chance Essen Spiel NEEDS to be on the itinerary!!
Thank you again for all your help and hard work. As always a great, informative and entertaining run thru!

it's pricey right now because it's only in print in europe. The american release just got a kickstarter, don't know if it's done yet.

@@nathanielchambers8974 I finally bought this about a year ago, and was able to find it for $40. Not sure if that had something to do with the kickstarter you mentioned but either way I was thrilled. I came back to this video and the run through to refresh myself on the game play.

The key question is whether Keyper is better than Keyflower?
Is it worth to have both?

Very different games, though many components look the same and both have a "get other people's workers" element. Keyflower has auctions, different form of worker placement, routing etc.

Incredibly different games. I prefer Keyflower between the two, but Keyper is also good. I haven't played Keyper enough yet though, so maybe I'll grow to love it more. It took me a bit to realize how amazing Keyflower is, and now I'd put it in my top 10.
