Smashbox recently came out with a makeup sponge that has a FINGER PRINT TEXTURE…. wtf! As soon as I saw this sponge I knew I had to test it out for you here on my channel. The surface would. still absorb the product. And if you've ever been brave enoughtntonsacrifice a beauty blender, you would see that most of the absorption happens in the first millimeter or two, not all the way to the cebter

I actually dont like using my fingers bc i have less time to do my foundation. I prefer a spongey beauty blender that bounces. I love the morphe sponge bc it is amazing on my skin and transforms my foundation. :)

You know what that darn thing might be good for?? Cleanser. Those little grooves are exfoliating and it could work in the cleaners and then, bam, wash it away. Very hygienic too! That's how those things should be marketed.

COGoddess that's why I've been looking into this thing; if it had a little finger caddy or strap on the back, I'd be sold! I feel like the marketing department of a lot of these brands have been asleep this year, LOL they've missed opportunities left and right!!
Rose Ella-Grace A few years ago Neutrogena or Garnier had a face wash that came with a little rubbery face scrubber with a little handle on the back. Now you can get the cleansing pad on it's own. Just look up "silicon micro scrubber for face" and you'll be able to find one for way cheaper than this thing by smashbox ✌️
Rose Ella-Grace Daiso has them for $1.50! not sure if there are any Daisos in your area, but they have them and have a little nub on the back for grip.

you should DEFINITELY use that close up zoom more often! i love being able to actually see what the foundation looks like up close because when you do the normal distance we cant exactly see what you mean when you say a foundation looks cakey or flawless because they typically always look the same from so far away but the close up we could really see the issues with it. I would LOVE if u started doing that close up more often!!

I'm glad you let us see it close up because it looked great from far away! I never had a desire to try these and I definitely wouldn't pay $20, but thanks for confirming, lol. I was on an Artiste type brush kick for a while, but now I'm back to using a brush and pressing it in with a sponge. That does seem to give the most natural looking finish.

It wouldn't work because touchscreen and fingerprint sensors can only work by putting little electronic particles in your fingers, that's why you can't use touchscreen with gloves on

If you want an applicator that acts like a finger don't just slap a finger print on it, use some sort of faux skin material too. Heat IS the main point so even then you might want to just stick with sponges and brushes anyway lol

esmeralda guerrero most blush is not eye safe and should NOT be applied near any facial orifices. Even though you could find safe products I think the risk of young girls attempting to replicate the look with whatever blushes they have would be to high.

emma jane they aren't meant to be applied to the eyes so companies don't make them eye-safe. Red pigments are some of the worst for the eyes, containing ingredients like carmine that can cause itching and irritation to the eyes. Even red eye shadows are famously uncomfortable to wear if they have any pigmentation at all.
These products are the designed to be applied on the eyes and many of them should absolutely NOT be.
Ashley G I'm not disputing that you know what you're talking about but surely if you can put it on your cheeks which are so close to your eyes you can put it on your eyes as well? I don't know haha but I always use blushes as eye shadows when I want a monotone look and I've never had any issues so far, and I've got severe eczema everywhere including my face xx

If you're hesitant to use it again for foundation.... I actually ended up using all my sili sponges as a tool to apply my mask!! It works great cos then, I don't have to get my fingers dirty and I don't need to wash a brush each time I apply a mask!

The only reason your finger is a good tool to blend in makeup is because of the warmth of your skin not the texture of your actual finger print so this completely misses the point of using your finger lol 😆

I was soooooo into makeup when I was younger, I would always watch tutorials and makeup vloggers but they all started being so commercial and forcing their attitudes instead of having a genuine personality, plus also I started having more responsibilities and other interests so I quit the vlogger-watching life for a really long time until the other day that I was trying to find a tutorial or a review for something, I can't really recall, and I came across your videos.
