You have no idea how much this has helped me and convicted me, such great advice on how to respond in a godly christ-like way instead of the other way cuz I wanted and desire to make my wife know she is precious to me.👍

Don't buy this. This is the thinking of men. I am entirely antisocial, very responsible, and his descriptions are nothing like me and exhortation or encouragement is my gift. That's how I know it's my gift, it is not my natural inclination.
I don't know.. I was looking for the meaning of the exhorter in American Indian culture and this sounds like the opposite.. this is definitely not what I'm looking for

Nope it's my gift and I'm socially awkward and an introvert.
I'm the same way. This video doesn't describe me at all, but I have a heart for fellow believers who are discouraged, sick or struggling in some way. Backslidden believers who have strayed from the fold need exhortation as well when the timing is right.
You don't have to be an outgoing, clever communicator to do the Lord's work. Moses and Paul weren't big talkers and look what they did!

What is it that tells you that exhortation is your gift? I'm not sure if you've given this any thought or not, but is it possible that it's not your gift, but you have strong exhorter tendencies? Something that Ken often mentions when he teaches on motivational gifts, is that the manifestation of these gifts may differ between men and women. I studied under Ken for years, and I have been convinced too many times that what he says about these gifts are accurate. It's not a silver bullet for everyone, but most of the dominant characteristics described here, from what I've experienced, are true for people with that gift.
