Despite the instructions and a bunch of other videos, I couldn't get my side/rear window zippers even close to meeting. It was so far off that I wound up having to go under the corner bar just to get the zipper started. Luckily I saw this video with the tip on leaving corner windows untucked until last. You saved my bacon, Eric...Thanks a million!!!

I just Bought a Trektop NX Plus for a 2008 2 door Jeep JK and I couldn't get past step 6 which was, attach the "Pin Point Bracket" that's supposed to connect the "Rear Bow" but I saw someone else install a NX Glide top on a 2 door and that shows that you attach the rear "pin point bracket" to the hole that the seat belt is attached to. The rubber grommet they provide jams the bracket into the hole that it shares the seat belt buckle with.

Do you have to un-install the hardware before putting the hardtop back on?

You'll need to completely remove the door surrounds and soft top hardware to reinstall a hard top.

Do the brackets attached to the bolts under the roll bar padding (where the padding was cut in the front and rear) also need to be removed to put the hard top back on? Or just the bows and door surround pieces?
Having a big issue with this top's hardware. While attaching the #2 bow to the side bow, the screw given (M5 x 35mm) doesn't fit into the bushing or hole
Anyone else having this problem? My lady's top has the same issue. Seems as if they gave the wrong hardware. Incredibly frustrating to say the least.

So this version of the trektops doesn't fully come off? Only the front seats part of it?

Look to the Glide; that has the same fastback look with the features of a traditional soft top AND the Sunrider!
How does work if you have a cargo rack that goes over the drivers compartment?
You will not be able to operate the sunrider feature on this if you have a rack over the drivers compartment.

If you have a cargo rack directly above the driver's head, then you would not be able to use the Sunrider feature until the rack was removed.
what is the difference between this and the nx glide other then cost 300.00 difference
The Glide allows you to completely fold the top back, just like the factory hardware. The NX Plus does not have the rear frame components to allow the top to fold back, so it would have to be removed from the vehicle if you were looking for a completely open experience.
How did you guys get Joe Rogan to do this. Does anyone know if trek top makes a top without that heavy header and stupid sunrider feature. ?

If you would like Bestop offers their Trektop Classic. This top has a smaller header that stay attached to the windshield frame, and the "sunrider" feature will not be included. It will have a feature to "roll" the soft top back though, but unlike the sunrider it does not flip back.
