Love the whole grade and shots the use of halation is a lot but I personally love it 🔥🔥
Yeah my taste and aesthetics has slightly changed since then. I like a more subtle look now.

That intro was frickin goated💀

I love this video and the grade. I'm new to this and just got an a6400. I've been having issues with exposure and rgb noise. What's the best settings to perfect exposure and noise-less footage with the a6400?
Noise is always going to be an issue especially in low light. You’ll have to work around with it in post production.
The most important thing is making sure you have a good amount of exposure before clipping your highlights to retain the most detail.
Look into how to utilize your zebras with the right picture profile for Sony a6400.
Cranking up your ISO isn’t so bad up til around 3200 or 6400 for night time scenes.
You will just need to apply noise reduction correctly in DaVinci Resolve, which is what I edit in. It’s free and a great video editor.
There are many tutorials out there, but I can make one in the future.
@@AlanTNguyentysm I really appreciate all of your advice!! New sub for sure !
lemme tell you brother ive own the 6400 for years and never thought it could look this good, i recently got the fx30 tho and just in case you were thinking of an upgrade 100% fx30!
Very likely going to be my next camera upgrade. I’m investing into lighting and audio equipment first tho. Then I’ll get into building up my vintage lens set. Those things are more important to me than upgrading my camera.
How didn't get any noise omg nice work mate
I talk about how I use Noise Reduction in DaVinci Resolve in my most recent UA-cam video.
Fire bro 🔥 curious if you shot on log and what type of lense used
I shoot in log, I plan to make an elaborate video explaining the things I account for when shooting log on the Sony APSC line.
Another Alan T 😂 I need to know, what lens? What filters? This is so so gorgeous. I almost wanted to replace my a6400 and you just made me fall in love with it again.
I used an old Sigma 28mm F/1.8 Canon FD lens adapted to my camera. I added some Halation in DaVinci Resolve Studio. No filter. When I do use a filter for bloom it’s a Black Pro Mist.
The camera is not as important as the lens, composition, and color grading.
I bought mine today, I’ve GOT to know what lense you used to run these wonderful collection of videos.
Tbh for stuff like this the color grading does most of the heavy lifting. As for the lens I suggest getting a zoom to figure out what focal length you like using. The focal length I like is a 28mm or 50mm. Look into vintage lenses if you want to try using manual focus. It’s fun.
@@AlanTNguyen copy that, I’ll get on that asapppp
@@AlanTNguyenas far as F stops do you recommend 1.4 or 1.8?
this video is amazing, the quality is immaculate, the colors are heavenly. From who did you learn to color grade like that?
Darren Mostyn and Waqas Qazi
Did you buy a powergrade? I love how you coloured this aesthetic mate. Wondering how I can learn or apply this into my videos
I use my own node tree. I’m actually working on an in depth color grading video for Sony a6400 and other Sony 8-bit cameras.
Hello! It is very cool! What color profile settings did you use to create this image? Minimum amount of noise
I’m about to release a video talking about this soon.
@@AlanTNguyen when bro whennn comonnn
Hello Brother, What setting did you use on camera? And, How did you grade the color. The video look really nice.
Check out my most recent video!
@@AlanTNguyen I got you. Thank you brother.
this is awesome what did you do color grading on?? What did type of preset did you film on
I manually did these colors. I didn’t use a film emulation or film LUT. I did this all in DaVinci Resolve Studio!
Love the vibes man. What did you do with the footage? Because there's not much noise or grain.... what settings did you use?
The actual footage had some noise. I color grade with DaVinci Resolve, and their Noise Reduction tool is really good.
It's so niceee, can i know what lens that u use to film this?
An old Sigma Canon FD 28mm F1.8 adapted to Sony E mount for my camera.
Beautiful ! What lens do you use ?
An old Sigma Canon FD 28mm F1.8 adapted to Sony E Mount
great shots! what profile color did you use?
I use S-Log 2 with S.Gamut3.Cine! I might actually make a more in depth video bc there are some little tweaks I have. I’ve tried to use S-Log 3 but I have found it a bit difficult to use without having so much artifacts.
pretty cool, your final footage looks pretty good in the darks, without noise!@@AlanTNguyen
To be fair, on DaVinci Resolve I did use noise reduction. But for it being a crop sensor camera in low light, still pretty good, I agree.
Superb! Did you shoot in 1080 or 4k? What lenses did you use?
Now on my a6400 I normally shoot in HD bc the 4K on mine isn’t great. The rolling shutter is really high and there’s a flicker.
You can find a good Canon FD lens and adapt it to your camera.
What lens do you use
I used an old Sigma 28mm F/1.8 for Canon FD and connected it to my camera using a Canon FD to Sony E Mount Adapter from K&F Concept.
Please what lens did you shoot with?
An old Sigma 28mm F1.8 Canon FD mount adapted to my camera.
Did you use a black pro mist? if so what strenght
This video was a while back so I can’t remember exactly. For this one I probably didn’t use one. Any close effects was probably just done in post on DaVinci Resolve.
When I do use one it’s a 1/4 strength. I don’t use it that much anymore tho.
I just have found that vintage lenses get the look I want and I don’t really need to add a promist to it. The promist can create a really extreme look and I want something more subtle.
The Promist has its place in some scenes but I don’t use it for everything.
1:26 How you create that edge glow effect? whats its name? ❤❤
It’s Halation in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Was this filmed in Worcester Mass.?
Houston
how do u stabilize your shots
Just held it as steady as I could, then played around with the stabilizer in DaVinci Resolve.
What lens did you use :)
Vintage lens adapted
I like this song. Are you Vietnamese?
Ye
did you shoot in Slog2 or Cine ?
In this video I think I did HLG2, but now I use S-Log2 and can get the same look.
Spill how to edit please, ... awesome video.
Using cinebloom or similar thing ?
Just a promist filter from Tiffen and Halation in Resolve
@@AlanTNguyen thank you for letting me know!
which lenses ?
I used an old Sigma 28mm F/1.8 for Canon FD and connected it to my camera using a Canon FD to Sony E Mount Adapter from K&F Concept.
Lenses use?
Old Canon FD 28mm F/1.8 by Sigma with a Canon FD to Sony E Mount adapter.
tell me a6400 video settings. please
I will make a video regarding my settings soon! I do use HLG2 for the most part now tho for my a6400. If not im using S-log 2.
@@AlanTNguyen nice. I waiting for you
waiting on this as well, my footage has too much noise 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️
lens?
I used an old Sigma 28mm F/1.8 for Canon FD and connected it to my camera using a Canon FD to Sony E Mount Adapter from K&F Concept.
Actually he shooted from Sony a7iii. Trust me it’s a big game
I wish I was lying and using an fx30 or fx3 lmao. Idk why I would lie about using an a6400 lol.
Camera isn’t garbage, you just gotta color grade and slap a nice lens on it fam.
lens name please
It’s an old Sigma Canon FD 28mm F/1.8 adapted to my camera.
I hate the fucking shakes on that camera
Agreed. Lol
