Saab 9-3 2003 - 2011 Automatic Trunk Open Mod

Watch this video to install a 5-min mod that will allow auto opening of trunk on Saab 9-3 Sports Sedan. Mod could work on other GM vehicles on the same Epsilon platform (Malibu, Grand Am...)

The trunk spring looks like there is an adjustment itself. If you look to the left of the spring, it looks like you can select which groove the spring can sit in. Does that also adjust the opening of the trunk?

I moved it back a notch and didn't make much of a difference.

A lot of waffling for nothing. There are already cutouts in place where you can re-locate the end of the spring in order to increase tension. Obviously you need to adjust both sides.
