There is meat and cheese all over your sandwich artist's plastic gloves and they are shoving those gloves into that lettuce all day. It's fast food. We all know 10x worse happens in the back of a McDonald's or taco bell but we all eat there anyways.
@@JeremyBell I always ask sandwich makers to change gloves before they make my sandwich (I’ve been a vegetarian for over 30 years), and you should only be grabbing what you intend to use from those veggie bins. The OP is right! A “whataboutism” logical fallacy excuse is not a good/acceptable response, or look. I know I don’t eat at awful McDonald’s or Taco Bell! But then again, I have had Subway one time in the last 15 years. I only go to Jersey Mike’s (they even clean the slicer for me too - they’re awesome), as well as a local Italian deli that also uses high quality sandwich ingredients (they have a separate slicer for the cheese and meat). Both places always change gloves before making my sandwich, and I don’t see them putting veggies back into the container after they’ve taken them out like that.
Over portion is such a pet peeve for me when I watch someone make my sandwich. Dude your "all veggies" is superb. one thing though, its supposed to be 6 olives, thats way too many.
Ya 6 olives is a really hard standard to hold. Way too many customers get upset. I just try to keep my employees from dumping a whole hand full on the sandwich, which is easy to do and will happen if not reminded
In Singapore, most of the time, the sandwich is sloppy. Why? Because most of the customers want more vegetables in a sandwich. In the end, it is like a volcano waiting to erupt😅😅
Question: is the paper liner required to be used when you cut the meat, cheese or veggies? In other words, can the employees put the food items directly on the counter to cut?
Ive always ordered my sandwhich with extra lettuce, its not expensive a veggie and its the crunch I like. The only other veggie I get is sometimes tomatoes if they look good. Im picky about veggies because some suppliers are not good and the produce can have a bad source. Taco bell used to have a bad chi e supplier that they used on the fiesta potatoes. I never trusted it and ordered no green onion chive or whatever they were called. Saved me from a salmonella outbreak and that one was so bad that Taco Bell stopped using those onion products.
They essentially reduced them to salads on Yoga-mat bread-like product with a decent hint of meat and cheese, by the 00s. And now, they're reducing them to a lightly veg-topped barely-there cheese and filler-meat... something.... Any Subway that refuses to at least double up my pickles and black olives on my classic turkey, for Goddamned $10+ -- and considering there are at least SIX other veg options I DON'T ever request, I don't feel DOUBLING TWO is an unreasonable ask -- I will never set foot within that Subway again. Thank you! It’s nice to see even meat-eaters call out the contamination! He has been defending what he did 3:45 in other threads. 😡 And it has been almost 3 years since this was filmed, so that means he still does it and didn’t learn anything from people who have pointed it out to him!
As a vegetarian for 30 years, I was really disturbed by the fact that you would take lettuce out of the container and sit it on top of meat on a sandwich, and then put the lettuce back into the container for someone else to eat in their sandwich (not to mention that you touched that lettuce with your gloves that handled meat too!). 🤢 Not cool.
@@JeremyBell As I wrote in the other thread, that “whataboutism” isn’t a valid excuse. Us vegetarians/vegans don’t eat at “every fast food restaurant,” and there’s literally no need whatsoever to do what you did here. I’ve _NEVER_ seen the other sandwich shops I ACTUALLY go to do what you just did here. You need to respect your customers better, clearly, because it’s obvious you can’t wrap your head around the fact that tons of people don’t eat meat and don’t want to taste that shit or have their stomachs aching from contamination from it. You’re not able to see things from their perspective. I was actually thinking of trying Subway again because I honestly can’t remember how many years it’s been since I’ve been there, wondering what it tastes like these days (curious if they’ve tried to up their game since Jersey Mike’s came along and began using real cheese/meat etc), but this has really turned me off to that idea. 🤢
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 God bless you Jeremy 😇 🙏
Oh yeah, sliced olives are expensive. A can of olives (at the store) is a buck. Each olive costs less than 5 cents and is sliced in fifths, so a penny a slice, again (at the store!) This video is the perfect way to ruin a business unless the subs are $5.
I just came from subway and I told her if I could have some more shredded cheese(she littler ally gave me a pinch.. She's like it's cuz our training... Yeah.. No... She was telling me she could only give out two slices of olives per her training.... 😅😅😅
Starting my first day on Monday, these videos will save my life! 😆👍
Exactly wish you luck
All the best
Good luck!
Not as fun as you think… jk lol
I’ve just applied for the part time job I’m 17 lol good luck with your first day :)
It’s 3 tomatoes
Can you teach us how to fold the sandwhich up I always struggle!
customers get pissed when you portion on an all veggie sandwich, what do?
Extra lettuce and cucumber. Cheap af
That’s a lot of knifes
I know this is a demonstration, but don't put the veggies back once they've touched meat and cheese.....

you will get someone in trouble with all those veggies lol . I have a store . Do you have one or are you a trainer ?
I have a store. You sound like me when I first bought my store 8 years ago :p. Cheers and best of luck on your investment.

I did my 2 days training and noe I have the job, thing is they never showed me this lol
They are not concerned at all about the sandwich being “sloppy” it’s all about skimping
i just put my two weeks in after 6 moths
Good luck with future endeavors!

...and if they weren't so stingy on the nickles worth of veggies they might get more repeat customers
"olives are very expensive" enjoy going out of business Subway 😂
thanks a lot

Using the deli paper is probably for the best. The counter gets dirty during your shift, so isn't the most hygienic

Yep. That's going to be every fast food restaurant unfortunately. Only way to avoid it is vegan only restaurant
