I love makeup decluttering I guess because I love asmr vids to, organizing just helps bring back memories. Also I think pastel lips are more for like costume things but, I love those colors. They are so cute on display.

I also donate to women's shelters and I would recommend that if you don't like the smell instead of putting it in your trash pile you should still give it to them because different people have different reactions to scents (I had a lipgloss that I hated the smell… totally horrible to me but my friend loved it). I think you need to open your possibilities of what you're throwing out (like broken ones that can still be used or you don't support anymore) and what you're giving to women shelters cuz they like would appreciate everything.

+Debra Murphy ah for those NYX glosses I have used them and they can't be sanitized, my shelter doesn't accept products that can't be properly sanitized like glosses, liquid lipsticks, mascaras, etc. Unless they're brand new.
Looks like when I decluttered after I moved. I was nervous because I was making a decently big move and my makeup was in boxes but not taped up and I would buy tons of makeup to make me feel less nervous well when I got to this house im in right now, I must have bought tooooo much because I needed another dresser for my makeup lmao! I just couldn't believe all that I got, but I decluttered a lot as well. But yeah kind of looks like before I decluttered. hahahahahahaha

Good on you for donating! If I may ask you to think about why you won't support a brand over some here say gossip that is cruelty free but support Mac who STILL test on animals (they sell to China). My view is that Lime Crime has never done anything to me personally besides provide a great quality cruelty free product. All this crowd mentality and boycotting this brand because they said this and that is so childish. People should think for themselves and look at what goes on morally behind all the gossip and heresy. Just my two cents lol but nice job on this declutter girl!

I've been following the online beauty community for 10+ years and I know these brands and their pasts (good and bad) inside and out. As for why I don't shop cruelty free, after working in the beauty industry for 5 years it's become nearly impossible. I used to shop 100% cruelty free down to my laundry detergent and toothpaste, but with brands like Too Faced, Urban Decay, Tarte, BECCA, etc. All selling to parent companies in recent years it just doesn't work with my career choice. The options for cruelty free beauty are sadly getting slimmer and slimmer. I personally can't do anything half assed, I look in to the parent companies and countries they sell in as well. You can take that for what it is, animal testing is horrible and I wish it wasn't an issue. By the way I don't mean for this comment to come across as rude, just stating my side :)

i wouldn't call it half-assing, but rather committing as much as you want/can. as you point out, it's near impossible to be 100% cruelty free (esp when it comes to clothing/textiles), but that makes it all the more important that every little step helps!
