That Imperial vs. Cadillac Hearse hit was EPIC. Shows you how solid those old Chrysler Imperials were. Those are highly sought after cars for demo derby. I know a guy from many years ago that won four demo derbies with ONE of those Imperials. It held up through all of that. That Imperial took the hit from that Hearse like it was nothing and completely did an accordion act on the front of the Hearse. The Hearse driver got his bell rung bigtime.
+Joey Green That doesn't surprise me because 25 years ago or so when I was driving in demo derbies officials were considering making them illegal back then. Chrysler must have sold millions of those things in the mid to late 60's because even all these years later after I drove them in demo derbies they still are finding them and using them in demo derbies. The engineers that designed them should be proud. LOL
Think it would be funny if people started painting their cars like these and just drove them around normally. Street legally of course. Now that would be unique!
Tuned 1221 it depends. With this track the hearses would win alot. I've watched Eli Beshaw beat the hell out of imperials with an 80s Ltd. Driver is what it comes down to
I love watching these Derbies! you taped a good one here. Went for the first time and took a small camera to one this Summer, caught some footage of on here in Shelburne Ontario, Canada. Did some editing to it as well. Let me know what you think. Cheers! ua-cam.com/video/FEpz8_RNP8U/v-deo.html
well, I find it hard to believe that the imperial was a 60's imperial if it got owned by an 80's LTD haha. Unless the guy's shoving stuffed imp subs into a little 80's Ford LTD (not sure if that's possible) But head to head, imps gonna win that battle any day.
That 45 is also a Chrysler Imperial. The hearse is a Cadillac... If ya know anything about those 2 cars, you'll know that cheating or not... Imp will win that all day
Bye bye Cadillac hearse. That driver may have brought the biggest car to the event but biggest doesn't always mean strongest, just ask all the people who have brought Volvos to banger races in the UK...
Fast forward to 3:10... that's where the action starts.. unless you want to listen to wanna be announcers for 3 minutes. 7:05 the announcer can't tell a 1 from a 4 apparently... 11:25 heat # 2 action
Amen brother! I was watching a vid on here awhile back with killer cars but the announcers had diarrhea of the mouth worse than these guys. I commented that and someone from the channel replied gettin' super butthurt callin' me a bunch of names. I guess truth hurts sometimes lmao.
+Terry J. MacMullen No frame modifications. That generation of Imperial really was that strong. A friend of mine ran a very rusty '62 Imperial in The Netherlands (too big to get much competition in the UK) and it took 6 full meetings before it rolled over and died. They had full boxed frames from the factory which is why they're banned at a lot of US race tracks, and a fair number outside the US. The Dutch, however, well, the Dutch are just crazy...
What a hit on that hearse! Musta felt that one for days... Imp didn't last too long surprisingly. Second heat was a good one as well, that #69 was well built.

the imperials are actually now illegal for demo derbies in some states because of how well built they are

For real right, they made one of if not the toughest cars ever built lol. They should be millionaires.
Joey Green97 Ummmmmmmm........I believe the people at Chrysler were already millionaires even before these Imperials were made.
Guy who built the Suicide Door Lincoln left to Chrysler and changed the Imperial by 63, Boxcars.
4:37 was a hard hit. Those fat Cadillac frames don't usually bend at the firewall like that.
Imperials eat caddys for lunch on a regular basis. . And Lincoln's too for that matter .
Still the hardest hit I have seen in a Demo Derby ever.
My Uncle was in the #45. One of the best in the game! #PowerTeam💪🏻
Think it would be funny if people started painting their cars like these and just drove them around normally. Street legally of course. Now that would be unique!
always wanted too
"They double teamed the 69 to try to finish him off" - Anyone else pause and ponder after that statement?
V,nfjivjluhkkfikfibsghkgvlvblj ,mcjmfvm,guk ,
Should have saved the Imperial. Thats getting rare to find.
HOLY HIT! XD This is probably my favorite hit in all of derbying.
Tuned 1221 it depends. With this track the hearses would win alot. I've watched Eli Beshaw beat the hell out of imperials with an 80s Ltd. Driver is what it comes down to
Can you run Volvo or Mercedes? how about cages for drivers cabin or fire exstiqushers
you know what? here in finland each of those cars would be worth over a 1000e
Only 2 Wagons! NOT a Total Wagon Class!
Sadly, ours too now. But they might allow them back again.
Plattsburgh NY.

What happened to them?

The ONLY way to take on an Imperial is to go after the wheels. You will NEVER beat one end-to-end.
B Williams iuu
Had to watch that head on hit at 5:00 at reduced speed. Hope those guys are ok. That was harsh.
The announcers are so annoying I had to watch on mute.
Amen brother! I was watching a vid on here awhile back with killer cars but the announcers had diarrhea of the mouth worse than these guys. I commented that and someone from the channel replied gettin' super butthurt callin' me a bunch of names. I guess truth hurts sometimes lmao.
the wagon divison as the call it had 2 wagons the rest were sedans
You don’t see too many derby’s like this anymore unfortunately
I thought that dude broke his whole face. Impfever... if you don't have it now, you don't like derbies
nose to nose with imperial... imperial always win.
the 49 car got hit hard. holy shit that was a hard hit.
what a wallop on the hearse.that frame on the chryco must have been beefed up.

even jesus couldnt save that hearse lol but damn that was brutal

That head on was violent wow
did you have part 2 of this video ?
Hey @TrackShotLive how old would you boys all be in 2009?!
wow that was a hard hit.
aw man some of those could be worth alot if restored. :'( especially that 2 door impala.
Who gives a shit dude. Yea I'm sure that 2 door impala would be worth a boat load. Not......
Ah, its sad to see all these classics cars being destroyed in such way
but, and some of you wont beleive this but i killed an imperials front end with a 76 buick. hell i couldnt beleive it till i seen it.........
Photos or vids? That's right. Shut up
Yeah. Those 71-76 Bbodies where tanks and almost as good as imperials. Almost.
Does the hearse driver still has all his teeth?
all the car are awesome !
best online derby i seen in a while
Austin used to be insane! To bad he does not do the demos any more.
Oh yeah, Austin was fearless. A runaway steam train comin at ya.
Somebody needs to learn what a wagon is lol
Impin' ain't easy
You never head on an imp!!!!
I've delt with them deals, How bout you come up close and personal and see what it's like to get them out. Betcha you'd change your fuckin tune.
If the shot was to the rear it might have ended different.
I immediately felt bad for the number53 when I saw him roll out.
What a hit on that hearse! Musta felt that one for days... Imp didn't last too long surprisingly. Second heat was a good one as well, that #69 was well built.
Clearly the imp was working with the ford and shut it off after he pinned the orange imperial.......
Oh yea hearses are week in the nose. Typical Caddy.
that 45 had cement in the fenders..
Do you ever think about what you say before you type it? Nobody pores cement in their fenders. Moron.
@@ericmyers7758 people did that in the frame rails. My buddiesndad used to take railroad ties and put them in quarters.
Looks like fun . even though there killing clasics
One of the hardest head on hits I've ever seen and I've seen a bunch!
what state is this in.
I would love to see an old 60's car vs. a newer car in a derby. Those old cars are tanks compared to these new cars
ua-cam.com/video/C_r5UJrxcck/v-deo.html
@@skittlecar1 poor Bel Air! But damn, that's really not what I expected. Usually in derbies I've been to, the newer cars just crumple up like crazy
4:36 !!!! wow
All very tame .. bring em to 🇬🇧
Not gonna lie. You guys are INSANE over there!!
Learn how to compete... You hit ewith the rear
Maybe in your own little world.
@@ericmyers7758 Studs aren't afraid to hit head on...
So boring...
