My favorite Boker knife is their Barlow. Aeb-l, awesome leather sheath with a clip (the way it constructed is unique, it has multiple layers and the top one covers the front and back so it covers the raw edges around the knife opening, looking very clean). It has thin stock, ok grind and comfortable micarta handle. Awesome EDC fixed blade.
Nice video! I've been wondering about this knife so thanks for the info. And I completely agree and is why I sharpen almost every knife as soon as I get it
I like the looks of this knife, but it is the same price as Guardians on Atlantic knife website. For the same price, I think I'd go with the Bradford AEBL
@@NavyAssassinOnBLAST The original is actually the lone wolf trail mate, which is no longer made. This is basically an exact duplicate as far as I can tell. That might be my favorite knife of all time.
I'm glad I watched this and subsequently subscribed because I'm looking for a 3" or 4" edc fixed blade. I see several knives here I'd like to check out now. I've always liked the Guardian and this Boker is nice and slim and the Nitro V appears to be excellent. Great video.
STASSA MAN! I LIKED SEEING YOU BROTHER!!! I PICTURED YOU AS AN OLD KNIFE GUY BUT YOURE A YOUNGER DUDE. WE LOVE YOUR VIDEOS GOOD SIR. GLAD TO HEAR YOUR BUDS W NEEVES! MUCH LOVE BROTHER WEEEEEEEYOOOOO!!!!
I was specifically looking for an alternative to the Bradford! Found it. I like the lines better too. The finishing marks on the Bradford are offensive at those prices and the arrogance of the company is just sad.
@@jusme8060 what’s the deal with their AEB-L? I have a couple of their kitchen knives with that steel. No complaints yet but they haven’t really been run through their paces yet.
@@Barney_Greenwaynot really. spyderco has american made knives in magnacut heat treated better than boker for only $150. the most expensive magnacut knife spyderco sells is $235. hogue sells perfectly treated magnacut for $140 on the deka and a smidge more with the RSK. a magnacut bradford guardian is still just under/just barely at $200
@@acid6urns So glad to hear that Spyderco sells premium MagnaCut knives using Titanium framelocks and Fat Carbon scales for only $235. I‘ll only buy my Titanium framelocks with MagnaCut blades from Spyderco now!
@@acid6urns I‘m so glad you mentioned those $235 Titanium framelocks with contoured handles and Fat Carbon inlays from Spyderco. The comparison between the two thinking they’re copying is the exact reason I’ve been afraid to sell anything to anyone that isn’t family. I SCOUR the internet to make sure my designs aren’t like anyone else’s…. But what works works…
Worse, Steve Kelly design this knife before Bradford ever existed, and nobody talked about Bradford copying the design at all since lone Wolf who he had used for the production version last time had already been bought out by Benchmade and The original lone wolf trailmate had been discontinued. Steve did a run of 50 buffalo hunter trail mates which also obviously were never compared to the guardian 3. This is exactly the same knife with a different steel, and despite me having purchased The original in 2011, everyone is now thinking he copied a company that's younger than that design...
That's a pretty good amount of work for that Nitro-V. I think a good amount of the cost comes from retarded tariffs still in place from WWII on German knife imports.

This knife is a duplicate of the lone wolf trailmate designed by Steve Kelly. They made it when they were their own company before benchmade bought lone wolf. This is absolutely not a copy of the Bradford guardian, since it's an identical duplicate of a knife that went out of production before the Bradford guardian ever existed

Thanks for mentioning Atlantic Knife, new to me. I couldn't find this knife there. Everywhere I can find it it's around 25% cheaper than the Bradford.
Good fixed blade Boker review, I found the video just before Christmas, thumbs up
Dang I thought it would be a more affordable version of the Guardian. Might as well get the original at that price point
IKR Knockoffs are supposed to be cheaper. 😂😂😂 Boker ain't competing with AliExpress at that price. 😂

the guardian 3 and 3.5 are literally perfect for edc fixed blades in my opinion. i have a 3.5 and i love it.

Is it good in the hand? Not sliding out? And you cant disassemble the handle?
Tops Baja 3.0 is a great comparative option. I have one snd love it.
I dig smaller fixies. In this case, I’d go with Bradford
I’ve got the Bradford and I love it. I did swap the sheath out for Kydex. I wasn’t a fan of the leather sheath.
Stay away from. Their aebl though. In my opinion of course
Atlantic knife has several styles of guardian under $100. Really wishing I had the extra funds at the moment!

Great looking blade.
I like the fact that it's in Nitro V, instead of something like AUS8.
Off-topic, my new Boker (Les George designed) „Collection 2024“ in MagnaCut at 62-63 HRC is a real beaut 💖
Cool knife for sure, if it was about $200 cheaper I’d consider buying it.

good knife- the sheath leaves room for improvement
The sheath is reminiscent of dung.
