Just bought a 2024 Crosstrek Sport and loving it so far!
Congratulations! Enjoy it!
Safety, AWD, Subaru look ( tall station wagon or hatchback - you decide ), resale value, visibility, and the local dealership did not side-sticker during the shortage years, is what sets it apart for me. My only concern is oil consumption, and the direct injection, which can carbon-up.
Is there a known issue for Crosstreks? At about how many miles?
@@MattTheCarguy I don't know. Hard to say exactly what, if anything, Subaru changed to eliminate or lessen the oil consumption issue. The claim is that those days are over. Could be, but without lots of data / surveys, who knows. You see people complaining, now and then, but that is a small sample. If you can find a way to get through to the tech at Subaru to get an answer as to what changed, and has it worked, that would be great. The carbon gunk-up seems to be a scheduled item for services, though a salesman might claim otherwise ;) In regard to CVT, I haven't a clue if I will like it once bought. You have to live with it first to know.
Anything with a CVT is a hard no for me.
Agree! This one is not bad but i prefer the torque converter.
