I love how the mod has the random wheel that makes the songs a random order for each person, yet somehow every person I've watched played this mod has gotten Face Me, the Duck Season song, first. And its not even like its forced first since I played the mod and got thrown into the Smile Dog song instead with Face Me being the final song I was given before Mortis. Seeing a 25% chance two times isn't that crazy, but when I've watched 5 different people and all got that 25% chance it gets a little wild.
The first ever reaction I watched had No More first I think

Malenia took me 52 tries to beat her, ain't no one beating her first try lmfao. But, who cares if people don't get the mechanic at first. Not like the song gave you crazy amount of time to process what to do with the mechanic before your mind goes to "Oh I gotta hit notes now" like EVERY FNF mod lmfao. Glad you enjoyed the video tho :)

for those who don't yume nikki's endings are at the limit of 3 1.staying alive and not wanting to unalive herself 2. unaliving herself ( the same ending the mod shows thanks to the playthrough of our bro 8owser where you see blood and those little guys next to her blood she actually jumps off the building) and 3. the troll ending where youll have to play the ending tounderstand it ngl cause yes it is a game 8owser but if you ever play it good luck. so yeah.... i played it and i gotta say ddlc and yume nikki had me bamboozled ngl
also the char in yume nikki isactually hella depressed and possibly traumatized now i take my leave

Yume Nikki is a somewhat old game that inspired a lot of games, Including Undertale, Omori (heavily), and others. Its a weird game that includes wandering your dreams.

Hot take: every song was pretty mid except for minds eye squared and mortis, as well as the latter part of face me, honestly river should’ve been the only musician, sometimes less is more, also minds eye squared feels like the original concept for wide spread, and then they were like “oh shit what if this was the final boss”, and then they made wide spread as like just a worse version of minds eye (btw wide spread is my least favorite song), also while deep dream has decent art and all, the song is painfully boring and long, and doesn’t mimic the overall feel of yume nikki, also the pixel art is very inconsistent, and overall the quality is reminiscent of early 2021-2022 mods, but mortis is peak though, and I feel like it should’ve reflected the quality of the rest of the songs, very disappointed… also the voice acting is uh… not good to say the least, barely understandable to any English speaker, also the menu mascot is very corny/cliche, they could’ve had like a cool windows 95 menu or something that fits but instead they went the generic “fnf horror guy” route or… something… overall I only liked two and a half songs, there is a big quality barrier between songs though and that leaves something to be desired, I am overall disappointed…

@@Tortilla_Pizzeria_Pixels A: not everyone knows who gobou is/ his animations, as the game itself is obscure.
B: without context provided, not many people will get why the art is the way it is, so it’ll generally look unpleasant to the average viewer, also the song again just doesn’t cut it as a slow song for me, there’s ways to do a slow song and in short that just wasn’t the way to do it.

I feel like any Yume Nikki mod would be genuinely confusing to anyone not familiar with the source material but I do see how the constant style swapping could look off. As for the song, it’s basically completely objective so I can totally see how someone could not like it, I do enjoy it tho and I feel like it has ample breathing room and is kinda meant to be calm and not heart-pouding fast like the others in the mod. Represents Yume Nikki quite well in that regard but who knows, maybe it could be done better.
