I love your honesty, positivity, & genuine attitude Stan! Refreshing in this day and age
much appreciated
I rewatched this video because I am dreaming about the Muskox. I have only seen snow once this year. The big snow storm you got last week completely miss me. Finishing up on a mini demo job and I have a garage to tear down by hand next week!!!
Stanley you do a great job i like the way you think explain ask questions to the companies that make all the products good job kw
Always enjoy going to the shows to see what’s new in the market. You taking us along is much appreciated. Your questions are inquisitive and educational. Your background in construction brings an additional level of knowledge of what to look for.
Thanks Stan !
Awesome, thank you!
Love how the KAGE guy used his hands to explain, just like you always do.
animated. we are animated. 👊 and heres a fist bump becasue its the only way I can communicate with my hands when I am typing. lol
I like how you ask them what every thing costs. Keep up the good work!
I figured thats something you guys are interested in knowing.
Love the western prodigy on the skid steer, works great.
That Ventrac stand on with snowblower, the tank you put de-icer in and it comes out at rear wheels and also that hand gun hanging on right side you can spray door ways or steps all right off the machine…they’re really nice machines!!!
well thought out piece of equipment.
Cool new stuff!! Thank you for bringing us along.
Thanks for watching!
Love that set up question.
Stan: "now for the million dollar question"
Rep: short pause "what's the question?"
😂👊
Send me more info
Stan, you were probably the only person that walked up to that Snow Lion table showing genuine enthusiastic interest and asking relevant questions about their product. I'll bet Qiwei gets a dozen phone calls from operators watching this video inquiring the line. Same with the rest of the equipment you took time to feature.
Thank you. You noticed that. They put time and effort into their equipment and they are trying to show it like anyone else. I try to give everybody respect 👊
Some super cool stuff there. Love that Snow Power fellow, great attitude, always looking to improve his product. And that skid steer snowblower is sick. To be able to back drag and snowblower, very cool.
For sure!
Me too!
We just bought a Ventrac tractor at work with brush, blower and mower attachments and it's amazing 👍
The SnowLion had my attention when they showed the shrunken down version. Such a unique innovation that'll help with sidewalks and other constant ice prone areas. I'd want one once they're able to be run with a compact tractor and a PTO hydraulic power pack. Snowblowers have to be one of the most essential things for you in the winter I bet.
A friend of mine is a SnowEx dealer. He loves them.
sweeeet!👍
Thanks for taking us around.keep it up.
The salt dogg spreader was nice, I liked how the whole unit seems very compact and easy to load up in the truck.
Im with you on that
Loved seeing the new Holder tractor. In a past life I designed and built v plows, salt spreaders and gang mowers for those tractors.
I love snow ex plows. The winter units in a truck are great
I remember going up a mountain and a snow plow that had at least a 6foot tall x 8 foot wide plow barreling at my 2 wheel drive Ford ranger. 😆 Great memories. Thank you
Sounds pretty cool.
I sort of liked everything, but I think having the half of the cylinder on that first plow charged with Nitrogen (basically air but more stable across temperature changes) for a faster compression on impact to help keep things in good condition is a fantastic addition. It's so simple but seems like it can do a lot to help extend the life of a pretty expensive bit of metal.
Ventrac stand on machines are phenomenal used for three years
My father in-law actually has that plastic push shovel you were playing with. They go to Florida every winter, so I have used it quite a bit. Works good for a couple inches of fluffy snow. Great video, thank you.
I would think for light stuff it works well
Looks like our sealcoat on that lot is still holding up great!
I like that skidstear tractor. I like articulation.
Stanley! Thanks for checking us out.
Love this part of the season
oh yeah!-Winter is around the corner.
I can't believe Dave said 15 years is a long life for a tractor. My grandfather's Massey Ferguson 50 inline 4cylinder gasoline was made in the 1950's it cranks up right now lol. It's a simple design made from real metal. Bolt a seat to a beefy transmission and your ready to work 😂.
Think modern. Modern stuff isn’t made to last like that o tractor.
That snow blower was the best idea Muskox get it for driveways and hard to get spots. Worthwhile and practical.
The yellow push-blade, the walk behind model. I own one. I like it. Best for small amounts of snow. It's held up well. One note, put thread-locker on all threads. Finding bolts in the snow is the only issue I've had. I use it on my 20'x40` driveway. During a snow storm, I find it works best if I move 1/2" or less. So I go out frequently.
As always Stan, I appreciate your videos.
That yellow pusher seemed pretty light- does it hold up well or fall apart much?
@@Dirtmonkey
The bolts keep falling off, but as Brian said, some thread-locker will help.
Apart from that it's a decent tool for 1-2 inches of light snow, less if it's wet snow.
Once you go over that, the wheels don't really have enough grip to move the snow to the side, because it's so light.
That musk ox is badass
yes it is
Makes me wish I had snow at my elevation in Australia. Aussie Jeff
Australia sounds pretty nice right now though lol 🥶
@@Dirtmonkey Even during winter the coldest it may get to is minus-5 degrees Celsius. Currently at the End of Summer we are reaching a top off 32 degrees Celsius with average overnight temps around 17 C. Be safe Aussie Jeff
Nice hand washing technique! LOL!
😂👍
Thank you Stan for another great video god bless
Very welcome
Float mode is fantastic! Super comfortable to ride, power is phenomenal. I tried it out at a storage unit we have and it cleared the whole front office area of wet heacy snow with EASE!
Boys in there toys I love big Machines Especially that snowblower have a good day god bless. Go get em 👊💪💯
That was pretty cool.
Stan. This weekend I was finally able to get up to my cabin and take a good look at the driveway and I definitely over sold how bad it is. I thought it would be terrible but since there was no rain this year all the driving on it has helped it not be so bad. Also I totally thought the rocks were bigger but after I went rock picking I saw that most of them were a little bigger than my hand but there is a few big ones but not the size you probably want. Sorry about getting you super excited to come out. But maybe if I can still convince my dad (who is way easier to convince than my grandma) then maybe you can come shoot a video or two with my tractor if you want.
Anyways I was super excited to finally get up north and I spent 99% of my time on the tractor doing things like grading out an old barn pad to mowing a field in three hours. I also found out that the tractor makes a great bulldozer for making trails to deer stands.
I also started school today and holy cow will I have to put my nose to the grind stone and get good grades. Hope you had a great Labor Day Stan.
If it works out and I can help you fix your road just let me know. Now worries about it. I always have plenty of projects going. BUT the most important thing is your serious about school. Your grades may not be the most critical thing but its your attitude of success that really matters.
I don’t know if I can go through another winter with Stan pronouncing it HINEiker😂 Louder for everyone in the back… HINiker!
I know- I keep saying it wrong😃
Haven’t run the stand on ventrac unti but my boss has one and he tells me how much he loves it. Said it just glides through a few feet a snow like butter
Everyone I have talked to- loves those things.
My grandpa Bill had an old Honda walk behind blower he would use after a long day of plowing, he would’ve loved that ventrac
Hey! I just want to say thanks for all you did for me , you put an old dream back in my head, and now , watching your videos, i decided to start my own landscape business here in quebec city(canada) ! so thanks for all you did for me with all of your videos !
Go get em brother.
@@Dirtmonkey I'll do my best!
I worked for a company that switched from Boss V blades to the Western Prodigys and I enjoyed running them. Ease of use as a straight blade with the productivity of a wide out.
The wings are controlled using springs and cables with the angle of the blade. The wings can be manually pinned backed to get the widest blade possible.
Stan, your having a little to much fun with that snowex shovel. Lol
😂👍
The price of the snow salt attachment is crazy! Lol, I understand people making the attachment have to make a profit but seems like they're trying to get rich off of one attachment. I mean, cool it replaces a truck but actually a truck doesn't cost that much. Anyway that just me ranting and again I understand making a profit but gzzz the price of that seems a bit steep. Seems like they only have one market in mind for that attachment. Thanks Stanley, I love what you do man and I've learned allot from your videos.
i was FLOORED by that price, and i have a $21K metalpless.
Its steep and there are cheaper ones. I bought one many years ago- it rusted out quick and I ended up scrapping it. my takeaway was I got what I paid for it.
Western plows hands down Super reliable. Extra fast hook up And the chain system just in case something goes wrong you can short chain it to get it home. Have had mine for 8 years and just 1 bad solenoid A light bulb. And regular maintenance.
Other than the cutting edges I do like mine
Awesome snow plow!!! I really like Mikes new plow!!
Thats a good one.
Good stuff Stanley
🙏 Thank you good sir!
18:34 shows something I am used to see over here in Austria a lot... Kahlbacher Snowblowers... okay, it is a Austrian Company producing those attachments... but still nice to see them in the states as well 👍
Heck yeah- A little bit of home for you stateside. #pride
I am no longer in the snow business or Landscaping. Starting the business when I was 13 years old. I am 39. Good luck to you out there I had to find a new job.
Awesome video. I actually used to work for fisher engineering and built the trip edges for the western and fisher 9ft V plows.
Very cool!
Love the hand washing part 😂 keep the germ in control 👊
😂👍
Awesome - not a whole lot of innovation but still pretty cool! - Keep it up Stan! - Zach
There is some really cool innovation in that front mounted sno-power and a couple other pieces at the show.
That wiper blade on that orange machine looks like it cleans the whole windshield
Interesting to see how it holds up to packed snow and ice
Awesome video great content
Glad you enjoyed
This was awesome! thanksfor very much for bringing us to the show! love it
Definitely hear ;) for the ASMR, not for the snow plows.
i have a western prodigy on my ford f250 and absolutely love it!
SNO POWER BABY!! Yee haw!!
😃👊
I like that system Garret…I’ve contemplated it myself!?
But looks and sounds like it’s so worth it, as it cuts down time, ex; on site daily Maintence, wear n tear and soooo on…pretty much just check the fluids in the morning and jump in and get to work👍
your hidden troll comedy is great man!!
glad you like it!👊
Used an HLA Snowwing 7-13 on 907H Caterpillar endloader for years. Great setup. Great product. Today I probably buy a Western Prodigy based off of cost and ease of use.
6:20 a lot of crap to break and go wrong during the storm!... One word KISS
I do like things made simple and easy to keep going.
Great video Stan 🇺🇲 I really enjoyed this video 🇺🇲
Glad to hear it Thomas. Have a great weekend bud!
I would like to see more ICE management equipment and ideas. Hard packed snow and ice is always a problem.
i would like to see more videos from you.
I have used my hydra bucket to grind hard packed ice- just like the snow lion thing. it worked amazing.
Hot Damn Stanley! The next best thing would be there with you! Love working the snow. The three stage blower looked awesome! They're extremely efficient if you have a wall in the way of plowing that you could throw the snow over the damn wall especially when more storms are coming
Thanks for. Well thought out reporting
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love show videos keep them coming!!!
I've got more coming!
Any two stage blower will have two motors. One for the auger and one for the fan.
yep
Ok I commented your video too soon that front blade and that salt spreader your making big moves now I need to reconsider my career with this equipment so I won't have bruises on my forehead this winter
no more slamming your head into a windshield right
Ya those curbs will stop ya kinda sudden I would love down force cutting edges and a plow in the front similar to my rear blade
This video looks fun! Let's see what is all about!
Let me know which piece of equipment you think is the best.
This channel keeps getting better and better as each video passes. Keep up the great work. I don’t think I could ever do it lol
Thank you very much!
Stanley, wow This video was amazing. Last night I actually printed off my customer snow removal sheet from last year and started to review the customers, thought about depleting the bottom and increasing my rates. I was interested in the dual auger snow blower that is attached to a tractor or bobcat. That was a good video. I even re watched the part in the video on how to watch my hands 5 times!!! I think I have figured it out. But I might need more help. lol
😂👍 Bill your a hoot!
@@DirtmonkeyI love your videos Stanley. And this was a good video because I am getting ready to look at my snow route already.
"...It's using a fancy chemical..." that comprises 60% of the air being pulled into Stan's lungs... 😂
This is good timing, we're moving soon, and the apartment we're looking at is asking us to clear an entire city block of snow every winter, Spent the day looking at cordless snow blowers (Ego because you did a video on their stuff before).
glad it helps!
Hey Stan. The ventrac ssv is an absolutely crazy machine. A little pricy BUT its worth its weight in gold because it wont rust being that its stainless steel. I just bought one this year. They will push more snow than you could imagine they would for the size that they are.
I want that plow
Love the trade shows!
they are fun.
Another banger you wild man I love these videos
Glad you like them!
I really like the nitrogen dampner set up a had on that one plow cus I do a cemetery and the roads are really ruff. I run a western I love it other than the left and right rams will fold like a pop can if you hit a ruff spot on the side that is full extended
I bet the ventrac crew gets a stern scolding now that this has aired
maybe they were just in the bathroom?
Awesome video
Great video bud.
Thanks 👍
I love to see all the cool stuff when it comes to snow moving. I only have experience with 2 snow plows a blizzard and a western I liked them both but honestly I liked the blizzard more for the productivity and the western more for ease of hookup otherwise I have a single stage blower on my lawnmower that I use now
Those westerns sure do hook up nice in my opinion.
@@Dirtmonkey they sure do
I just want to let you know that every time that I get on UA-cam i look for your new vids
And when there is a new one I watch it right as I know it up
I honestly wish you would post vids every day
I just love them
Don’t stop posting
🙏 Thank you for that
Great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for tuning in.
The Holder is beautiful, but 100k plus and high maintenance puts it in the elite realm.
agreed. to rich for my blood
They have been in Canada for over 35 years. The bigger units have always had transmission problems .. Lots of Cities in Ontario use them or MB units..
I feel like you should have over 5 mil subscribers by now you have the best equipment and equipment reviews channel out there.
Our half ton Snow ex plow is a beast! Super easy hook up and down pressure kills it. I like it better than my full size boss plow on my f250
nice! good to know!
Thanks Stan! Been waiting for this video as I couldn’t make it to the show. Lots of great info. I run the Western Prodigy on my trucks. Love the simplicity. Doesn’t stack quite as well as a “V” but pretty good. Excellent scrape ability.
It's the old Blizzard design of their non power plow models before Douglas Dynamics bought them out and cheapened them up
love all the videos glad you at least looked at the prodigy been running one for 3 years and absolutely love it and yes it is a mechanical wing setup that works great for wind rowing and capturing snow to move it would love to see something like that on one of your sidsteers
Love the videos Stan
Thanks Clay
Ran the western prodigy and blizzard power plow which is now snowex there both great plows
It’ll be fun to see if bobcat takes on kage’s other products like they did with their original skid plow. Has to be huge for Kage to sell thousands of them in the bobcat branding.
Good question- I wonder if that will happen.
Watching this the one thing I keep thinking is why haven't the truck plows gone to a skid steer coupler? If it could raise and lower it would make connection quick and easy the plow could be swapped from truck to a skid steer easily and back . As well as being able to transport extra attachments with your truck to a jobsite, or a forgotten attachment.
I think the western does that? I need to check into more though.
he use 3 HLA live edge scrapers. honestly, once you get the hang of how much down pressure you need it's amazing. not one breakdown all year.
nitrogen is more compressible than oil, so it could provide more of a spring action on an impact.
aaah- the physics of fluids. something I know little about
I plow 10 miles of gravel roads for our HOA in Colorado. I run an older 8' UltraMount Western. I can hook it up in less than 60 seconds, and un-hook it just as fast. I honestly think a Prodigy would be the hot ticket for what i do, since it control just like a straight blade, but with automatic "wings" for extra width. Just don't make enough in a season to justify one...
Hopefully we get to see him demo some of these awesome pieces of snow equipment
That would be fun!
We don't have any Snow Plow's like that here in Ireland because we only get a little bit of Snow about once every 5 year's and its melted and gone within a few day's. We get a lot of cold nights and ice on the road's but they just salt and grit the roads when its below freezing
Stan, I would love to try and buy the new front plow by snow power. Do they have a dealership in western New York. I can promise the guys that the plow will see almost every possible situation the plow could be used for. As usual great video keep it up and stay safe.
I don't know where their dealers are but if you contact them I bet Rick will find a way to hook you up.
