Thanks for watching Joe. Yeah, $200 dollars is pretty steep, and I just think there's more comfortable shoes in the market for that price if you have relatively normal feet :)
I have huge bunion on my right big toe. I have to buy half size larger shoes to keep my foot from hurting. I'm thinking I could actually get my size with these shoes and relief that possible pain with the extra room. Wish they had store to try them on.
i got my SQ golf shoes, sock& cap delivered today in India Mumbai. It fits me superb. Very stable great design, incl the sock to cover the heel area. I have had Nike air, the UnderArmour , Footjoy. Even a Barefoot one .but this one is great. Thank you Team, though it took a long time and no discount ,that was on.Anyways its good having worn it. It does have lots of room in toe box area, and not pinched like the UnderArmour. Good product..maybe i am the only one to purchase the Product, and maybe i am the only one to move on to Single Plane, in India going through teaching with little Moe Todd Graves Utube lessons on Moe Single golf swing.
I wore my for the first time on the course. They felt very comfortable for being right out of the box. But what I like the best was how my feet action felt on the ground with the swing. I am pretty sure I did hit the ball a little further for I felt like my swing speed was faster and the push off the ground on the follow through felt stronger. I will not really know significance until I get in a simulator and hit a set of balls with my current Foot Joys and then hit a set of balls with the Sqairz shoes and compare data.
I agree with quite a lot of his review comments as I recently purchased the gray colored shoes. They do run a bit large and have a wide base. They feel firm on the soles of my feet and are certainly not "sneaker soft" with a firm ankle fit also. They do look nice but are "klunky" in appearance with the square toe design. The laces have these rubber or silicone "nubs" which have fallen off after the first time I tied them probably got sheared off through the eye holes of the shoe. They are also pricey at $200. I don't think the square toe adds anything to lining up putts or regular golf shots since I tend to flare out my stance a bit to get better rotation. I'm considering asking to return them for a refund but don't know what their policy is.
Thanks for watching Mario, and confirming a lot of what I said in my review. I’m not sure if they have a ‘customer satisfaction returns policy’, may need to check their website. Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already 👍
Good review as usual. Good looking shoe from the side on. I buy standard fir shoes and I guess my feet are pretty generic ! However, one of my mates paid a lot of money for FJ wider fit and he’d probably like these a lot. (One sticking point though is buying online and hoping they fit. $200 is not throw away money for most people)
Thanks G Mac - being total honest I think I had half a size too large, which would have contributed as well. I’ve done a review of the Sqairz speed shoes which I got half a size smaller.
😂😂😂 can you imagine if I’d decided to reference that particular scene at the start of a golf shoe review video...I thought I was pushing it by even referencing Huey Lewis 😂 Thanks for watching 👍
Great review and always honest 👍🏻 unfortunately I don’t care if they made me drop 5 shots, it’s the worst looking shoe I’ve ever seen 🤢 but admittedly they’re probably not for my demographic
Lol you’re right. Didn’t know who Huey Lewis was. Quite a niche channel you got here, still pretty entertaining for someone who has never even played golf. 👌
Thanks for watching Mr! Haha Huey Lewis was awesome back in the 80's! You do know that Mr Mister was the name of an 80's band too right? -ua-cam.com/video/nKhN1t_7PEY/v-deo.html Yeah it's pretty Niche, trying to help all the golfers out there fin the right shoes for them. Maybe I should make some videos for non/beginner golfers! Don't forget to subscribe, got quite a funny video coming out hopefully next week (well I think it's funny!)
I just can’t see how a pair of squared toed shoes change your game! I have quite a few pairs from adidas to under armor and the Jordan’s as well as Foot joy etc… I play 5 days a week imo the adidas are the best.
Thanks for watching Vince. There could be something in it, but they’re so different compared to everything else, not just with the square toe box, but also with their weight, it’s tricky to say how effective they are
Sqiarz have put a lot of time and effort into the research and design of their shoes, and so they're doing a lot of things that may not seem normal when compared to other recent golf shoes. In my opinion there's absolutely a link between stability and distance, as well as accuracy, and so having the right shoes for you can make a difference. And it's not only Sqairz saying this, several manufactures and biomechanical experts feel the same. With that said it's difficult for me to conduct my own research into this area as I simply don't have the equipment or time to make any significant findings of my own. Could golf shoe have the potential to give you extra distance and accuracy in your game? Yes I think they can. However, I also believe that there are several other factors at play which can equally have an effect, and so it's difficult to measure the effect the shoes are having in isolation. For example I'm a very average golfer whose currently having lessons. My swing barely looks the same twice, and I suffer from a very inconsistent strike. When you factor in the different environmental conditions for every single shot, as well as the different levels of force being generated to get the desired result, I don't feel I can say these shoes added distance to my swing. But I can appreciate they have the potential to. With all that said, comfort and looks are also a huge factor that may not have a direct effect on the swing, but for the vast majority of golfers, will actually be the priority over performance. This is certainly an area I'm interested in and I'm keen to explore more soon. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already!
I remember Huey Lewis when he toured with Thin Lizzy 👀 Horrendous looking shoes and I wouldn’t consider them. I can maybe see that the square toes might help with putting but with other shots, not so as I don’t stand square to the ball.
Haha, the boys were certainly back in town that year...sorry I’ll see myself out 😂 Toes didn’t help me when it came to alignment, and the looks aren’t my cup of tea either. Thanks for watching Kenny!

Thank you for this review....I was thinking about purchasing these but don't want to risk the $200 to try them out.
I really like your channel!

Great stuff Dhiman, glad you like them 👍 you could very well be the first person in India to have them! Stay safe 👍

Thanks FordF 👍 yeah they not specifically marketed at people with wide feet, but I think those people could benefit for sure.
Not doing blisters!! Great review

Hip to be square always makes me think of American Psycho and Paul Allen getting wrecked with that ax...

Thanks for watching Dan! Haha yeah they don't look like much else over here in the UK, that's for sure!

They claim to help you hit the ball 10 yards further? You never addressed that claim. Do they?

Thanks for answering!
I have a pair of Sqairz but wish there were real leather and not synthetic leather
Thanks for watching! Yeah they do have a bit of an artificial feel about them.

This was three minutes of valuable information...
Thanks for watching, glad to have provided a useful three minutes 👍
I really like everything about this shoe except....
If they were zero drop I would've bought them in a heartbeat. But I would play barefoot and have.
Thanks for watching and sharing Javier 👍
You lost me at $200
You had me at hello....(sorry!) Yeah $200 is pretty punchy for a new small golf brand!
They look like bowling shoes. Hideous.
Thanks for watching Rob. Yea the looks are divisive for sure!
