Hi Dennis - What a weird looking fishing reek - it is so puzzling to rebuild -
Ir is an interesting one because most of these reels use a lava drag set up.
I have become a big fan of the TERN series from ACCURATE. I own the 300, 400 and 500 model’s and in the lever drag versions I enjoy the VALIANT series in matching sizes. For inshore and light offshore duty I have never doubted the performance and durability of these reels. Love the Penn, Newell and ACCURATE videos Dennis
What's their castability like? I like multiplier reels for surf and other land base fishing.
These seem like nice reels that aren't to expensive. I live In Australia and good casting multipliers are hard to come by unless spending money on something like a saltiga
Thanks for sharing and fro watching - Best wishes - Dennis
They cast great. The ball bearings enable the spool to spin free and easily. The restriction would be on the line capacity of the spool.
İ have tern tx300-xl , is it good for slow jigging?
Accurate makes excellent reels as well as Avet.
Yes they do. I like them both
Seriously need to put a soft pad or towel down to work on these reels instead of scratchy hard wood. I wouldnt let this guy work on my reel, listen to the banging and scraping this reel is goin thru, id be pissed if this was my reel. Id love a star drag tern 300 can't find one anywhere
Thanks for the note and suggestion. The Terns are definitely getting hard to find
