Canadian born to an American Mother and a Canadian Father and raised between Canada and the South I truly have a unique perspective of the relationship between our two Countries and fully understand how everything political there Always Always trickles its way on up here. (Full disclosure I have chosen to live my adult life in Canada.) As such I can honestly say your latest upcoming election has terrified me and not for why you think. Trump does not scare me. He's just an old man set in his ways and I'm sorry I just don't believe all the constant non stop hate that has been piled on him since the very first time he ever ran for office before he was ever president. I'm mean sure at first I believed it but it's just been so many moons of hate filled rhetoric I've kind of become numb to it's expectation. Now I just see him as a Grandpa who believe it or not may actually have a good idea or two. No. What terrifies me is the fact I'm a woman who loves all her relatives females included throughout the States and elsewhere and it's the democrat party that is running on a woman's rights platform when it's obvious they have zero interest in upholding any of the rights we women have spent so long acquiring. Obvious to an outsider I guess but terrifyingly not to half your Country as they gaslight you along under the banner of abortion rights. Never mentioning how it's them including their top ticket who are trying to erase female centric language (Mother, Breastfeeding) while simultaneously taking away ours and our daughters right to biologically female safe spaces which very much includes physical sports. That it is them including their top ticket who refuse to even define what a Woman is. Please understand this is Not a knock on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community of who I have several friends and family and love them dearly. No. I say this as a SA Survivor or rather a Survivor of Grooming and MANY SA’s. Which if you care to look up the statistics you will see whether you look up sex trafficking or simple SA’s (although if you’d like to not sleep ever again add those two very different statistics together) the main majority of ST/SA Survivors are biological girls and women and it doesn't rightly matter if your looking up the numbers in Canada or the US. Although in truth while the numbers are terrifying high in Canada they are horrifically higher in the States. And in my personal experience while I'll be the first to say the main lot of my abusers were biological men (albeit pedophiles) it does not matter one iota how one identifies as they're getting their rocks off. Not to mention the umpteen amount of degenerates out there who happily throw on a persona an act if you will to get what they want.
