- Learn how to use flash to softly fill in shadows in your photos! This video will show you how to master flash photography with ease. Most of these shots could've been captured with natural light but would've required more editing in post. Just adding one flash to fill in shadows with soft light, makes the photos pop and makes your life easier with editing.

I love how you made flash photography so simple. The most straight to the point examples on the internet. Not over explaining at all. This helped me with my photography tremendously

Great video! On the shot where she stands in the middle of the bridge that flash/lightstand is right next to her but doesn’t show in the final picture, I guess you removed the lightstand in photoshop?
Yep! I took it to photoshop and using generative file, it removed the light and stand in seconds. I do that all the time 💪

Whenever I try high-speed sync, I am finding that my flash power even at full power is not enough (I use a godox ad300/600.) I’m not sure why I struggle with this🤷♀️
With those flashes you have more than enough power. May I ask what the settings are on your camera when you’re trying to do this. DM me on insta and maybe we can jump on a call
@@scottstocktonphotography let me go out and experiment with hss. Even using SS of 200 I can struggle with getting that soft light fill. It’s easy when I stick a dummy head on a pole when I practice outside but then when a real person/session it looks like crap….🥴

great, the only thing is that we didn't learn anything because you didn't explain anything at all. You're just showing the difference with and without flash
I disagree. Told you it was two steps. Expose for the background in your camera for how you want the scene to look, then turn the flash on, adjust accordingly. And then I showed the examples.
How didn’t you learn? He explained it? I think him explaining that you need to adjust in camera for background and then use flash to fill is super important. Flash isn’t complicated if you know what to expose first. 👍🏼
