Fun trip. I am happy no matter what takes the bait. Both you guys are great to be around. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe.
Terry from Tennessee, love watching you and Ryan fishing together.
Happy to see you guys having such a good time. It was a mixed bag indeed. Always happy to watch you fish. Stay safe and God bless you and yours. 😊😊😊😊
I really appreciate that. I love trips like that where you catch a little bit of everything. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
Love to see you actually catch fish because up here in Nebraska the water is way to high
She is on the way down thankfully. I'll be heading that direction soon.
I wish Wisconsin had better bait laws, it’s hard to be a flathead fisherman up here but that’s why I love doing it, not many other people do it.
I get that. Definitely more expensive being a flathead fisherman up there too.
Where you at? I'm in Beaver Dam. We only have channels. I wanna go up by OshKosh for flatheads.
I just fish the creek mouths of whatever stretch I fish the fox on @@RiverCertified
Ryan is always good comedic relief in your videos
Them barn doors fry up quite nicely. Clean flakey white meat marinated in Louisiana crystal hot sauce and WST Cajun 💯👌🏼
Hello Mr Spencer just wanted to tell you I really enjoyed the video looks like the fishing is kind of tough and the water being high like it is but I still enjoy it man I think you have some fantastic videos really makes the old man's day so again I appreciate them my wife has cancer set these videos helps me get my mind off of things so we can I really appreciate them my friend until next time take care and be careful out there on the water I can't keep on your next video your friend Billy Simmons. Please overlook by Miss wording my eyes are really bad it is hard to see sometimes I want to say I'm sorry for such a long comment but sometimes it helps me just to talk to someone I appreciate your time again take care and I'll chat with you on your next video
Nobody makes me bleed my own blood lol luv the 1 liners. Ty for the video boss keep then coming. 😅
Hydraulics definitely deserve our utmost respect!! Great video Spencer 👍👍
Multi species, strong current and light tackle, it couldn’t be better, guys!
Spencer, you said “he’s ours” just like Smeagle lol.
Thanks for sharing!
It's definitely my idea of a good time. Smeagle liked to eat fish, so we also have that in common. I think Skip is a whole lot like Smeagle haha
Yesterday went fishin, got a 10ib blue, first of the year, gonna head out and get bait after work and then go soak some lines, nice vid bro, it pumps me up!
You two are cracking me up. That is the way to have fun. Thanks for the laughs
Great time on the water. Skip is the star. Ryan’s the better half and Spence you’re ok too. Sharp hooks to ya.
Great video multiple species, thanks for the trip Spencer
Love a good mixed bag, catch whatever trip. those quests with Ryan are always a fun video it seems. keep em coming.
The and stuff has Josh smiling love to see yall catching fish keep it going buddy
Hey Spencer …. Enjoyed the video. Nice to see a variety of fishing.
My River Certified camo raincoat will be arriving Saturday !!
I'm picky when it comes to ball caps but I'm lovin my new River certified one. Thanks for content brother. I've learn alot from your channel alone.
Hell yeah man, glad ya like the ball cap. Hopefully it's a lucky one for ya.
Rocking the river!! Some nice wipers. Overall great day enjoyed the video 👍🏻
Awesome video man 🔥🔥🎣🎣
What a great and beautiful place you have today! I see you brought beavis and the dog with you this time! Cool!
Keep em coming Spence, really been enjoying, who needs cable TV when you have Spencer?
Using our eyes to find bait with good glasses then immediately using your ffs to find the bait 😂
I miss the Big Flatheads from the Creek but it's nice to see Skip and the big boat. GREAT VIDEO
It appears that we have similar bait issues, the res I fish most has a ton of them, and I see them on the surface in schools, but.... we can't throw nets there. Looks like ole Skip got him a mohawk hair cut and he sure seem to like watching that cast net, seeing if you are bringing up any snacks lol
Nice seeing you and Ryan again! Some Stache dude in NE is probably proud of that drum-bud even if it wasn’t on a jighead crawler. Did Skip get ahold of a wire in his lair?
Skips on point
Ryan's a great addition to your vids
Great multispecies outing! Flatheads are spawning here too. Haven’t caught one in my last 4 outings. I wish we had high water here. It definitely gets the fish moving and feeding. Hope all is well Spence..
Glad ya enjoyed it. It was a fun change of pace. I did luck onto a good one this morning after fishing all night without a bite. Flatheads are weird.
We always catch big cats when the rivers are on the rise.. it’s a sharp drop where the fishing sux
If I had a dollar for all the iowa blue stores I've heard!!! Lol I went Kentucky when I was 18 or 19, I actually caught a blue. I always say a blue reminds me of a jet,and a channel is the old prop plane!!
Skip would lay the smack down on that Whistle Pig. Lol
Great Video as always! Might wanna take a look at that red wire at 20:00 right above Skip.
Its been been fixed. Skip and I aren't on speaking terms right now haha
That's what I'm talking about, that would be a great time 🎣👍🏻
Skip would make a great surface lure. Put a stinger with a treble on his tail, and you're set.
Self inflicted pain. Man i get that. Seen guys skaying wipers on chicken liver on Thomas hill reservoir. Something about what they feed em when they're young in the hatchery. We always trolled for em or live bait em. They out the liver in panty hose bags. Just thought. Channels are biting good down here. Hit or miss on the flatties. Should be turning on in couple weeks. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏾
You throw a perfect Taco every toss of the net. Lol
It's funny, to me, when Ryan sets a hook. He is so short that he raises the pole over his head while reeling 😂😂😂.
That log is like an asteroid approaching Earth.
haha I never thought of it like that, but the way it was bending in the current definitely does make it look like that.
Went out last thunderstorm and got 3 channels, 9 bullhead, 10 carp, and a bunch of other smaller stuff. I never miss a thunderstorm lol
@@RiverCertifiedif my home creek is high, it has anything from catfish to musky to sturgeon on occasion. Connects in one way or another to Lake Erie so never know what’s gonna come through
Been recently trying to catch my first flathead after 7 years (i was 14) and its been a pain in the ass. Hella tackle invested in, New line, reels, rods etc... I just think where i live i kinda got very unlucky for the fishing. Gotta drive at least 30 mins for good areas
I know that feeling. I drive 1-2 hours pretty routinely to find the best bite. Keep after em man. I'm cheering for ya.
Crazy you say this about high water and I just caught my biggest blue cat ever on a walleye rod where I’ve never heard of a blue cat. I might make a post about it on the Facebook page
I need to go catch some eaters lo..
North River ..liked video..
Almost that that was him with out his hat 😂
Need to take a trip out here to the west coast and fish for sturgeon in the Columbia! It’ll be the most fun you’ve ever had! 👊🏻
I've thought about it. It's just hard for me to get away from the catfish.
@@RiverCertified trust me bud! Plan a trip end of June or anytime in July. You’ll catch 50 sturgeon that are 5+ feet long. Your arms and back will be so sore you won’t want to catch anymore. lol. And the way these sturgeon fight fresh out of the ocean is unbelievable. Definitely worth the trip!
You should show how your rigs was on the fish you caught bait and all
Great video. Maybe I missed a video but what happened with you and whisker seeker rods?
I love high-water fishing, as long as I can miss floating debre.
Yup them fish move around a lot in high water, fish and the right spot and bam, fish and good ones around 🎣
How do you go for some fish tacos. Thanks for the video Spencer.
🤜🌟🤛🎣🐬🐠
The G. o. a. T(HeeeeeeyyyyyyyyBauer!!!! 👑🎣)an The Best!!!(Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy Tasler🥇🎣🥇🎣🥇🎣) Cant Go Wrong !!!
Would love some advice on thermacells.. I think the backpacker would be good for me, but need something for me ma. She has a camper..
Drum sticks for dinner!
Do you ever catch and cook the striped ones the only fish that they were eaten other than store-bought are blue cats channels I’ve never had a flat and of course bluegill good eating
What net is that looks nice
Have you ever fished the Wapsipinicon or the Maquoketa River ? Both eventually enter the Mississippi River and large fish do venture up these tributaries.....
@@RiverCertified I live in western Clinton County , a town called Toronto . Where the Wapsi joins the Mississippi is a great place to latch onto a big Cat. We had an older gent here in town that would catch these big ol Flatheads and put them in a kiddy pool for the afternoon so the schoolkids could see them and then he would let them go down in the Campground boat landing . Walnut Grove is the name of the Campground . The Wapsi floods alot and the bed is pretty sandy here , it changes alot . I am old now and no longer know the river but I would have had a blast taking you out when I was a younger man. There are some huge Flatheads in the Wapsi , I have had many straighten my hooks and through the whole kit and kaboodle right back in my face .....some appeared 15 " across the eyes....
Id love to fish with you man
What kind of rods do you use for catfish?
I need to find a river spot most of it is all private land now
♥
I suck at fishing lol its kinda hard to bank fish where im at to much rocks and bushes
What kind of rods are you using
What reel do you use
We want more Skip all the time!!
Haha he is definitely a stable in the boat. Still got some work to do in the kayak.
What brand cast net would you recommend
I like several. Fishing fuel, bait buster, and joy fish are all good.
Handling channels every day is like working at a bath house for felines.
Is that AT or AT2 you're using? I'm going to get the AT2, but there are a LOT of AT for sale cheap
It's the AT2. Haven't used the first version so I'm not sure how they compare.
I am having lots of trouble catching cats right now I live in Iowa as well but seems like they shut off. Where I am
The channels are really starting to pick up in central Iowa. The flatheads are pretty hit or miss right now though. I'm cheering for ya man.
👍👍🤙✌️
put a jet pump on that outboard and you can run in 6 inches of water, I don't understand why you guys in the Midwest don't run more jets. I live in Washington state and run a 24' Alumaweld super V pro with a Mercury 250 jet with a tiller handle. I can run in about 8" of water with a jack plate up and down the rivers out here chasing steelhead and salmon.
I agree. I live in the Ozark mountains and anyone on the river here is running a jet drive. My boat's a alweld flat bottom with a Mercury 60 / 40 jet drive tiller steer. On a rocky shoal with lots of fist size and larger Boulder scattered through it will run in 4 to 5 in of water. On a sandy shoal my boat has been through 2 in of water at 30 mi an hour without touching the bottom. I've gone across shoals stopped got out walked out on them and there wasn't even enough water to come over the top of my shoe.
👍👏🏻👍💪👍
19:53 red wire has issues? Wiring has to be one of my least favorite things to deal with.
Yeah, Skip chewed on it haha. I need to recrimp it and raise it away from him.
Skip better eat his Wheaties and stay at hotel 7 he gonna take on that ground hog their tougher what you think .lol
What size weight you using for that current, 6oz? Good old Purple Nurple. 😂
I think I was using 3s. That thin braid doesn't catch much current. Love the purple nurples!
@@RiverCertified I am actually kind of surprised you guys were not getting much debris
How dare you make the Great One perform for a bit of dried flesh. You better sweeten the pot, my guy.
Cut your hair like Ryan. Then you'd be team butch.😅
I had hair like Ryan's last year. Definitely ain't giving us a team name haha
You and pig patrol didn't fish together anymore?
I'm sure we will find some time to get on the water one of these days. He lives about 3 and a half hours away, so coordinating time isn't always easy.
Where is Sam?!! Is he in the federal witness protection program?!!
He don't get too excited about much other than the big water it seems. Plus he's been working a ton.
Dude its so nice to come home an have a new video to watch after workin my ass off all day, Appreciate you spense
I'm glad ya dig the videos man. Hopefully you have a good rest of your evening man!
