I can confirm as of July 4, 2024 this is still totally working. Once your car drives into the yellow circle, tap the Xbox home button on your remote to bring up your home screen. Now, scroll down so your hovering or highlighted GTA app that's on your home screen.
On your remote press the little button with the 3 lines on it. (It's just below the Xbox home button)
Scroll down to the bottom of the menu that you've just opened up and select "Quit".
This is how you "close your application" or quit GTA.
Start GTA again and rinse and repeat
Update: Still working on new gen Xbox X/S as of June 16🤘

Uodate ts does not work i dont have car but still have to redo the mission so dont waste your time i did step for step exactly the same way
If you sell loads of those cars at once, can you get the sell ban thing?
Everytime i close the game and come back the heist is ready to go but i don't get the car any ideas ?
You had to close the game When you hear the garage sound
After today this glitch dose not work on ps4 it’s is being patched as week comment because to many are doing it was just patched on my ps4
