Holy... crap... I've been looking for this song for 25 years. I heard it once on a Detroit Radio Station in 1992... and I thought it was a figment of my imagination! AWESOME.

I love this song!!! I was in love with Tajh & Hakim. I thought the video was Dope back in the day and still is. All 4 brothers are truly talented and I'd like to say Thanks for making great music!

"The Saga Continues" has The Boys sounding like N.W.A. meets Jackson 5. (and Bugs Bunny)
Sounds like The Boys were big fans of the N.W.A. album "Efil4zaggiN". If you listen to the songs "Alwayz Into Somethin" and "100 Miles & Runnin", you hear the influence here. Hak even samples the ending to the song "Findum, Fuckum, & Flee" and even samples a drum break from the Melvin Bliss song "Synthetic Substitution" like N.W.A.
After this album, they moved and became The Suns Of Light in Africa.

Somebody in the comments below mentioned that the father took them and moved to Africa because he was afraid of the direction that they were headed in and I would have been too. I was only in the first grade when this came out, but when I listen to it as both an adult and a mother, I can't believe of any parent that would have approved of this. A thirteen year old boy talking about how he wants a woman with a big booty, then having women approach these underage teen boys as if they were men?
There were also references made about sex in other songs on the album. The only person I would excuse was the oldest brother who would have been nineteen because he was an adult.
However, all of these other ones were age 16 and under. If the roles were reversed and they were girls singing about men with men being all over them, we would be outraged.
I'm sorry, but this whole album and video looked like they were directed by a pervert.

Michelle Smith I love this song but it is hella inappropriate! You are right, roles reversed and it was girls, we'd be pissed!

When I saw this, my mouth was open because I was disappointed in them trying so hard to be like Jodeci. They didn't have to do that. I still liked Tahj, but I was like, "Please don't compare yourself to Devante Swing. That's not you."

Yeah, I was shock too when this video came out. I brought their album to support them, but it kind of turned me off with the bootie talk and hitting the skins. At that time, I was 15 yrs old about the same age as Tajh. I think they were trying too hard to act grown up.

Their dad was very Afrocentric and he was adamant about them portraying the culture in a positive light. So he wasn't happy about the direction in which the label was pressuring the boys to go, so he uprooted the whole family and the boys' careers and they moved to Africa.

    • @wilykat

This is when I officially lost interest in the guys. They had to grow up, I knew that but I wasn't ready for it then. Now looking back, this was far more tamed than the shit we have crammed down our throats by BET on a daily basis.

See, I'm going to have to disagree. Hakim had to be 16 almost 17 when this came out. Tajh, maybe 15? (15 year old boys still like cuties with nice round booties.) They just looked young and I think people had a hard time with the visuals (the video). But the lyrics aren't really that inappropriate. They were growing up, that's what teenagers do.

    • @lashaydavis8593
      @lashaydavis8593 6 років тому

Yes I agree some people just couldn't accept the fact that they were growing up. I liked this grown up sexier image of the boys.

You are exactly correct. The album was great, but the Boys grew up too fast for many. "hitting skins and big bootys" were a little too much for Motown.

I used to pause & record only the good ones.. had some amazing tunes from B.E.T , Yo MTV raps etc some that arent on youtube and will be forgotten..

This was like the beginning of the end for them. No one could really take them serious after this. Sad trap that comes with being child stars, no one really wants to see you grow up. Well, there's that, and this particular song just wasn't that good.
