I’m Linda and used my husbands phone to make the comment about my cat and I. This is the 3rd time I’ve picked up his phone to watch videos and only realized it when I made a comment! 😀
I love the way you made these, not using leather but thread we can get or already have available to us. I like the random feel of them both and think young people would love them also. I may make some for gifts this year. Thanks again Gina love your work.
I love this stitch, but especially the way you have varied the beads to give it more texture and interest. I am going to cut mine apart and redo it using some pearls and crystals. Thanks so much for your terrific videos. You are awesome!
Hi there . Just checked in ! Greetings from Washington State U.S.A Love the Necklace and bracelet m We have several art stores here in town Like Micheals , Hobby Lobby , and Johanne Art stores they have all kinds of beads to make .
My gosh, you are such a wonderful and patient teacher! I love these bracelets and necklaces that you made and since I have a large variety of left overs beads I will give it a go. Thank you so much, Gina! Hugs.
Gina these turned out so pretty. Love your colors. I too like the tassel or the ending of the necklace to be a little longer. Ha! I always pay attention to the back of a necklace someone is wearing and love it when the clasp has a dangle. Thanks for teaching knotting. Looks easy! Will give it a try!
You said it, sister, I am right there with you. I don’t think I will ever be able to use all my beads, but projects like this help clean up leftovers 😆💜
I absolutely LOVE your videos. I like the double knitting technique as well. I have always used a small seed bead next to my knots when I have a bead with a larger hole and that is a very nice look as well. Going to my bead soup bowl to try this with the double knots. Thank you for explaining and showing the knotting technique so well. It is easier and quicker than the way I was knotting. Thank you for posting part 3. I was anxiously awaiting this one. Much Love💖
Oh Gina. This pattern is GORGEOUS! You really are the best instructor on UA-cam! I absolutely love you! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. 💝🥰🤗
Very nice set. I wonder how it would look if I end with a toggle clasp - hmmmm... I'll have to try it. I love your videos. They are clear and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your techniques.
This is so pretty. I’m going to make two sets to give my girls for Christmas. I can sit in my recliner with my bead board and do this while my cat sits on the arm of the chair watching every move I make. She loves watching me crochet or anything. If I stop to rest my hands she looks at me as if asking. “When are you going to start again, it’s fun watching you work!” You are an awesome instructor. Keep up the great work. I have a bead knotter for making pearls but your way is easier.
My dog used to lay with me when I beaded, I miss him. I tried a bead knotter, I didn’t like it. I have always made knots this way, the knotter was clumsy. Enjoy your new project!💙💕
Really beautiful work. I've done only a few short strands for dangly stuff but I think I might try something more intricate like that design. So neat. 😍
Gina I really like both necklaces. Today’s is cool colors and the 4 strand is warm colors. I wish that you told us how long it took to make the 6 strand necklace. Did you work on it continuously or did you make it across a few days? Since the necklace cords were so long did you have trouble with tangling and spontaneous knots that you didn’t want? How did you control 8 and a half foot cords? I appreciate any advice. Such pretty necklaces and bracelets. You are a talented artist!❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😊🌹
I made the 6 strand necklace in a couple days, working about 4 hours in each sitting. You double the strands so they are not eight feat long, after double the three long strands they are about 4 feet long. I didn’t have trouble with tangling or unwanted knots, I separated each strand from the others and knotted one strand at a time. This allows for lots of control.it’s actually a pretty easy process.
Gina, you are such a wonderful teacher! Thank you for your great videos and beautiful designs! I love the look of the pearls in this design. Could you share where you got them? They are the perfect size for the S-Lon thread.
I love your work...I notice you do not end your necklaces with chains .. most times you bead out to the clasp.. closing...thanks for your demo... blessings
I am not sure, it depends on what you use and the cost and time you put into it. This one I would probably price at 75 dollars, it has a lot of beads and time put into it. I could price it higher, but it would not sell. I am a realist.
When I use beading cold like SLon, I use square knots to finish the ends but I make a loop first and add the button last. I like the look of your version.. If you have six strands you can do fun things with square and larks head knots. Doing the button first is a thing that makes me say “Hmmm.”
There are many ways to do every type of project, square knots, sliding knots, macrame and so on. This is a simple version, that is finished nicely and functional. You can of course do whatever you like. Tying the button first is logical for this design layout. There are no set ways, just those that work and those that do not. This is a beginners channel, I keep things simple and pretty. But, it’s all up to you, how you want your necklace to look. Thanks for watching and commenting!😁
@@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank YOU! You have mad skills ;), Even your beginner projects are spectacular. It is you who gave me the confidence to step outside the box sometimes. I like your videos, I want to start this as a business first want to learn the things. Your videos are informative for beginners thanks for all these.❤️👌👍❤️
When I make necklaces the only thing that stumps me is don't know exactly how to close at the end or tie off or even what to use to close off at the end .
Hi Danny, all of my projects will show you how to end and clasp the pieces. Different methods are used for different projects. I recommend watching some on the bead string playlist. That way you can learn what to use and how to use it.
Well, they are time and bead consuming pieces, probably 50 dollars, more than that, would not sell. You can put huge prices on things, calculating your time and costs, but experience has shown me, people do not pay those prices, I don’t price each bead in a piece like this. I give it a general value.
SLon is made for this type of project, for knotting, and other cord type projects, it is thicker than fire line, the overall aesthetic is different. It completely different type of thread. Fireline is thin and strong and not meant to be seen, just to hold stitches together. They are use for completely different types of projects.
You are so awesome! I love your videos so much, and yes of I'm a subscriber. BTW... You have beautiful hands. I love how you keep your nails polished so nice. I love the way you handle your work.
