I loved her vibrato on this song. I wish she had done more songs that showcased her unique vibrato. No one could sing like Tanya! So happy for her recent success and finally winning a Grammy Award.
I know this whole album by heart. We lived far away from my extended family when I was a kid. My mom would always put this tape in during the long car trips we frequently went on to visit them. I didn't understand what some of the songs were about at 6 or 7 years old but boy I sang about Delta Dawn and No Mans Land to the top of my lungs. Lol. Last night my mom and I listened to a couple songs reminiscing bout the old days! Lol
My mom used to play this record album daily when I was a kid. I know this entire album. Wow what memories.⏺️🥇
pure blood and guts. southern soul
AND DADDY LEFT THEM BOTH SOAKING UP THE SAW DUST ON THE FLOOR !!!
Listening to older country music like this takes me back to when life was good.
DADDY CALLED MAMA'S NAME THEN HE CUSSED HER !!
This arrangement by competent musicians is really golden and great at backing Tanya's voice on this one.
I was 10 yrs old when this song came out. I remember my mother telling me there were radio stations refusing to play it because they said it was "inappropriate". I thought it was just a really sad song.
She sang this song with such convincing authenticity it's as of she lived the story.
My daddy loved Tanya Tucker.
Nothing like real Golden voices from the Golden age of the word called Victor classic the brith to real country music! Not the fake of today! God bless all the greatest singers ❤love them miss them ❤️ ❤
Still one of the most amazing voices and this is an all-time favorite. The music the words the emotions are breathtaking ... Thank You Tanya for all the great music through the years.
One of the greatest "hurt" songs ever!
Yeah you're right that's how country is done. She was so and still is very special. One of a kind there's nothing like her music. My favorite woman singer of all times.☝
Great song
Man ...YESTERDAYS ❤
Tanya Tucker, Billy Sherill and good old Southern Gothic with a hella story! Intense.
Augusta, Ga. Is Mentioned In This Song...I Love In Augusta, Ga. I Almost Ran Off The Road One Day When I Heard That. Tanya Tucker Once Lived In Columbia, S.C. - 55 (5:5) Miles From Augusta Up I-20.
It's a good song oh, she has a great voice like she does on all of her songs. The thing that amazes me the song was recorded when she was like 14 years old!
