- A narrated 4K Toronto Fall walk through the Summerhill and affluent Rosedale neighbourhoods. I walk down some of my favourite residential streets including Macpherson Avenue and the affluent Chestnust Park. The autumn colours are in full swing on this one which was recorded on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

I'm not even from Canada and yet I just watched your video with enthusiasm. Rosedale and the Chestnut Park were so beautiful. Rosedale is so wonderfully old-fashioned that I got nostalgic straight away. As a kindergarten teacher, I doubt that I will ever be able to afford something like that, but I can still dream. Nice walk through one of the last quiet and clean neighborhoods left in this city (but you need millions of dollars to live there).This walk also included a million cars , bright orange construction cones everywhere and more condos than you can shake a stick at. Too bad you couldn't post the cost of homes in the city where a 70 year old 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow with no garage and no yard costs 2.2 million.
Craigleigh Gardens was once the 13 acre Rosedale property of Edmund Osler (1845-1924), businessman, politician and philanthropist. His brothers included Sir William Osler, the internationally renown surgeon.
Leaf blowers are an auditory blight on the entire city of Toronto.

This was a great stroll through a very nice neighbourhood and I especially liked that stone wall at 26:03.
If I had the dubloons, I’d have an opulent condo somewhere in The City, or a very nice house with lots of space between myself and any neighbors.
At the end of the video, I’d have been tempted to say to the rude coughing person, “Thanks for sharing!”

36:38 was the late Kenneth Thomson's house, one of the finer examples of Georgian style architecture in town. Another example of this same style is on May (also in Rosedale).

My next door neighbor who used to be a boxer always tells me how he'd train running up that steep long hill at 39:55 ... where that lady is coming up with her dog (he's in his 70s now). Im pretty sure it goes down in to a ravine type pathway...very nice. He used to train at the Cabbagetown Boxing Club too.
Yes, Jay MacPherson was a poet who lived in the area, and I lived there for awhile, on MacPherson, red-brick apartment building on the north side late 70's..... and while the area & homes were great, that apartment was not. Rail tracks & bridge were still operational & it felt like a locomotive was about to come through your living room 3 or 4 times a day & night!.... Also lived on Glen Road in Rosedale late 80's so nice to see both areas once again.... Thanks Johnny!

The house that was on sale at Macpherson Avenue is currently listed for $2.8M...and 6/49 jackpot is $11M tonight...lol! Summerhill neighbourhood is a nice area, convenient and not too much traffic.
