i like how the second gen is tuned and has the shift points raised from 5200 rpm to about 6200, those trucks are slow, i tuned my buddies 01 sierra and we put a few bolt on mods. tuned it and raised the shift points to 6400 rpm and it did 60 mph in 6.4 seconds and its still going strong to this day. prior to the mods the truck was 8.5 0-60 (on a good day) and only had the 5.3.
Yeah i have the 4.3 variant single cab and let me tell you. The thing is an absolute DOG . Like a 10 sec 0-60
Best guess is a 4l80? Never seen a 4lslippy shift that hard reliably lol

Sounds right, father had an 04 2500 with the 6.0 and stock it was a dog, had tons of power just not quick but he did a lil work and had it tuned and it was a whole new truck, hitting 60 under 7 definitely

Because these GMT800 1999-2006 these trucks are last longer no issues up to 300,000 miles. Newer after 2007 all gm V8 messed up by AFM system
My dad 2004 Sierra long cab is at 364k mileage, same engine same tranny. It hauls compared to my 08.
I know the 2nd gen is tuned but jeez can we talk about the gearing. Literally hit 58-60 mph in 1st. 🤣
yea im interested in the 2nd gens deal, since the video claims its a 6.0 serria, it shouldnt have a 120mph cluster... unless im missing something the only 6.0 truck to come with that cluster was the silverado ss, because only the 1500 trucks had that cluster and the standard 1500 trucks didnt have the 6.0 as a option, (ss was the only exception) so either its a cluster swapped 2500 serria or a 6.0 swapped 1500 serria is what im thinking

Maybe not a 6.0 at all. Likely a tuned 5.3.

Factory cutoff on my 6.2 GMC 5th gen was 97 mph. That was the least of the the reasons I traded it away.
What were the other things?
My factory limiter is 112 on my 6.2 GMC 5th gen (2022 GMC Sierra AT4)... I also have Speed Rating S tires which handle 112 mph. You could've always upgrade your tires and purchase a device that disables the speed limiter.

Impressive specs but all of these trucks are limited. 2nd gen will do 99, 5th will do 106. Meanwhile my 89 will do 130mph. 😃

How accurate are the speedometers? Don't most read a little fast? If that's the case these figures aren't totally true...
From what I’ve seen every speedo reads fast. By at least 1.5-2mph even on new stock pickups

Correct. Speedo usually overreads your actual GPS speed. Usually it's by a 'percentage'. And not by 2 MPH extra, but by a 'percentage' instead...for example of when going 70 MPH on your speedo most likely your GPS will show 68 MPH. 68 MPH is 3% less of 70 MPH. When your speedo is going/showing 140 MPH most likely your actual GPS speed will be 136 MPH.
That is how you calculate...

2nd one has too he tuned because my truck stock takes 7.34 seconds to get to 60. Then I got a Diablo sport predator and got it down to 6.97. Now I have a bully dog gf gas coming and it’s supposed to wake it up even more
Does it come with a check engine light like theirs and everyone else's ?
