The KMS Karl von Schönberg is based on a draft variant of the Type 1934 destroyer project called SK22. A large ship for her type, she is armed with powerful artillery comprising four 150 mm guns. The ship also carries two quadruple-tube torpedo launchers. Project SK22, developed in 1933 and 1934, was based on 1916-class World War I-era super destroyers. One of the project versions suggested that the ships be equipped with four 150 mm guns. The operational use of such destroyers was considered debatable: The ship was too unstable a platform for artillery fire, even with her displacement exceeding 2,000 tons, which led to the project’s cancellation. This was one of the major reasons why the Kriegsmarine administration, the Oberkommando der Marine (OKM) gave preference to a project with smaller caliber artillery. The ship is named after Karl von Schönberg, a naval officer in the Imperial German Navy (1872-1914), he was a commander of the light cruiser Nürnberg (not the WW2 era Tier 5 cruiser Nürnberg) who fell on board his ship in a battle against English forces near the Falkland Islands on December 8, 1914. He was a descendant of an old Saxon noble family. Its coat of arms features a two-colour red and green lion in the field of gold.
If I could advise on one thing. Remember your other speeds. You have more than just go, stop, and backwards; for a reason. More engine power means less turn... If you had selected ¾ instead of Full Ahead, you could have made that starboard away from that Navarin while keeping the smoke between you... You can turn pretty tight while full steam ahead to if you play with the throttle... Think of it like merging on the highway from an on-ramp? Do you floor it the whole way around? No. The Gs would work against you. Same in a boat, except you have to use the water instead of pavement... The tightest you can turn is ¼ when stopped/slow, or ½ when moving... Maybe tighter with some pulses down into (Stop), but you don't want to linger there and shave too much inertia... Play with it, and see what you think...
Totally agree with Spartan, far too many players in BBs just heave volley after volley of HE at open broadsides, it's enough to make me cry. However I do think that he got the bitch slapping because he pushed with a high visibility DD against a pair of secondary BBs. Never a healthy thing to in a gunboat DD, a Japanese torpedo DD yes because you're away before they have you.
I would have gone after B after the first 2 BBs were sunk, might had made a difference. Also would have stayed with AP shells on the P. Bagration as your angle was getting better. I am personally excited to get this ship as I am a fan of the 2nd German DD line and this one seems to fall in with those.
@SpartanElite43 I have a live stream challenge for you. Pick any ship you want and play it in ...... 1st person mode vs 3rd person. All you vision is deck level.
As a new player i notice often just how some players sit back and don't fire to helpout unless it's for the last shot. Watching is give me some great tips tho 👍 just need others to watch lol. 👍👍
@@SpartanElite43 thanks, I've been binge watching so thanks lol👍👍. Took me awhile to get my head around the menus and how to do the bureau and missions but loving the game 👍👍
@@shaundavidssd the only ships you can citadel with HE are lower tier carriers and some low tier cruisers like Emile Bertin and even then HE doesn’t do nearly as much damage a citadel as AP does. Do you even understand how HE pen works?

Hey Spartan, good video, good game and good throw from teammates! You have got all in one, what else to desire? 😂
Nice work as always spartan..😂

I didn't exactly know they were there it was kinda a oh sh*t moment
I was laughing my ass off at the part of the 2 battleships

Some people need to go back to that late 80s early 90s VTEC robot before playing video games again lol
Is a full AA build Iowa viable?
I wouldn't go full aa build but definitely using aa mod in slot 1 is great way to boost iowas aa range
Hey Spartan, hope you’re ok after last night? GG on the video
Torpedo Royal !
For my play style I would prefer gun boats over torpedo boats
Hi.Spartan
When I play battleships I always keep my battleship moving is that a good way to play battleships. Or hide behind a island
Everyone has their own playstyle i prefer to keep moving but gotta be careful
How on earth do u get these ships so quickly? Do u do full purchase? I do campaign mode and hope I get another week available to go for excess steel.
WG loans the ships to CCs for 2 weeks to make videos on

Hey Spartan I can't find your most recent livestream from last night on your channel I hope you will be uploading it soon
It was a live event only
@@SpartanElite43 oh ok my bad
@JustinJost no problem all good
Alabama is on sale. Worth it?
Alabama is a great ship and very accurate
Def gotta lower your expectations for team support lol
11 minutes new record
nice
i quit when mass charged at my Aigle suicide-wise in the middle , no instinct, kamikadze players
Hey, man. I dunno. I need to figure this one out myself. Potential there!?
It's a solid gun boat but it's nothing amazing
@SpartanElite43 Naaw..
I laugh at battleship captains who shoot HE at me when I’m in my battleship cause I’ll slap them with my AP and then they keep shooting HE
Until Conqueror slaps you for 20k with HE. What a broken ship ngl
You will learn the importance of HE in certain situations pretty soon..
They have brain damage, they can’t help it.
Some ships can citadel with HE,keep mocking it and you'll find out eventually
@@shaundavidssd the only ships you can citadel with HE are lower tier carriers and some low tier cruisers like Emile Bertin and even then HE doesn’t do nearly as much damage a citadel as AP does. Do you even understand how HE pen works?
Werke, in German is pronounced Vehr-kuh.
They were shooting ap you charged a flank were 90 percent of the time a bb ur cruiser charges too. You csnt always blame team mates
I still haven't purchased the campaign as this boat looks like a bloody buss and I'm not a good dd player in small dds.
On paper ship looks pretty average
Listen, some people need some disparaging so they can take a hard look at themselves and hopefully uninstall the game and never come back
MY life when I play a German Destroyer..........they suck so bad compared to others.
Deutsche means German not Dutch
To be fair you're in a destroyer and didn't capture one base. lol
Never got a chance to
@jacobarch1981 Did you even watch the video, bruhh ?? 😅
