I just came from that interview right now too. Somethan he left out and rarely talks about. He did a feat hook in 2000 with Sole.."It wasn't me" song. He was feat on the album version but not the radio version in which Ginuwine was singing the hook. The song was actually a decent hit record. Man this is probably one of my favourite early 00's music videos, everything in this video captures that early 00's essence. The weather, cars, technology at the time which wasn't too overpowering, city sights/backdrops and even the damn leaves are like a time capsule for me to some degree despite being from UK, US culture was a VIBE back then for me. Loved growing up in the 00s and definitely miss these type of songs, none of that thot IG model BS. This video is a perfect example of the kind of romance/love imagery early 00s were pushing man, just that real masculine and feminine with a twist of hood keeping it trill. Like he's actually getting to know the chick and vibing with her, playing games, shooting hoop etc, she's feeling him and he's feeling her, neither are insecure that's REAL as hell - yeah it's a music video so might be a bit glamourised, but not too far from the truth! No twerking, flossing too much wealth, strip clubs etc. Honestly feel these sorts of songs were pushing forward the high vibration and not that low washed out vibration you see today and it was a whole generation influence vibe for sure, you see a man at the top of his game and a girl at the top of hers and they both fated to be with each other sort of flex. Can remember girls being way easier to talk to back then, our gen (early 90s kids) weren't as demoralised as todays gen I feel, and there was far less sexual tension between men and women that compared to today. Got me feeling nostalgic as hell!
This reminds me of the early 2000’s and walking over to the public library to hop on their computers to get onto MSN Instant Messenger and MySpace to see what my friends were up to. I would take my Chingy CD’s with me and pop em’ into the computer so I could listen as I chilled for an afternoon. Dang, those were the days…
Yup can relate as I was 16 in 2003. Smartphones with more and more features are what changed everything for the worse. I don't think the damage was truly done until the early 2010s if I think back

Damn, this takes me back to when me and my first girlfriend use to have 3-way phone convos with our friends on our house phones, before everybody had their own cellphone lol
Those were the days.....my lil girl is only 9 and has her a cell phone. I'm like damn, who be calling u. friends and u dad and grandma and grandpa is what she always say.what ever the case is.. This is my thang back then.
Hahaha mskiara101 babe, I know exactly what ur saying... that was the funnest thing ever... idk 'bout ya'll but, I had to hide lol ...because we would have late conversations and my parents slept next door.
Oh how the times have changed... These were the days. Songs with good vibes and decent rappers not singing bout the same shit. Miss these Days. RIP HIP-Hop 1990-2008. Shits makin a rebirth soon tho I can feel it.
It never died, it ws just suffocated and supressed by the radio stations because of the dance/beat snap era. Change is necessary tho because now everyone seems to have a greater appreciation for talented artist and in a way it raised the bar for new artists and established artists.
The hell you talkin bout' 1990-2008? 05-08 was probably the worst era of rap with the emergence of platinum selling ringtone rap, and one hit wonders. I believe hip hop is definitely in a good space right now though.
05-08 had bangers and had more of a southern flavor to it. It was music you played when u where with friends fucking around in those hot summers and cold winters. Music now is just shit with a few exceptions like I said earlier.
MrStreetballer5 I swear you have to be young. It's funny because I remember back then when this song was out ('03/'04), So much hate was towards it and the South. People were saying it was 'dying' then. lol. '06-'07 was probably the worst time in Hip-Hop/Rap period. Yeah, sure, that time had (club) 'bangers' but there was no balance. You're stuck in nostalgia. And stop with that played out "RIP Hip-Hop/Rap" line. It never died. It went underground. Nowadays it has gotten better. Not better than '00-'05, but it is a lot better then where it was.
Lets just reiterate when I say hip-hop is dead I'm referring to mainstream hip-hop. Underground hip-hop is going through a golden age rn with many underground labels coming together and such. Also I never said this song itself I'm referring to the overall songs that came out during that period of time.
2020 anyone? Jason Weaver killed it and Chingy is so cute! Keisha was the perfect person to play his love interest. Absolutely love her. This song will never age.

Man, I wish they made music like this nowadays 😭 makes me feel so old! I’m 26 but I grew up up listening to these old school songs 😢 music today just isn’t the same and I know EVERYONE will agree with me 😭 these songs back then just hit different, seriously 🙌🏻
Can we go back😩… I’m so glad I was a teenager during these times… It was so simple… I really appreciate coming of age during those times… this new ish overwhelming.
Thx 4 the info, it's just a shame to see true talent go to waste, so that commercialized garbage bums can take all the endowments of the music industry ugh!!
These were the days when Music Videos had LIFE and COLOR and SOUL to them. The 90s & Early 2000s was the Golden/Silver age when the realms were touched by the Heavens life truly felt like you were in another Dimension back then like Heaven on Earth. Now we live in the Dark Age where everything is dark and depressing. I can still feel the divine Nostalgia from this era.
Back when kids were playing on the streets. Back when technology wasn't everything like Dubstep or over Auto-tune (T-Pain is an exception). They sucked the soul out of music. Now it's just Nigga this, and Nigga that. Killing people, smoking blunts, making money, and fucking hoes. No more rapping/singing about problems or about life or love.

This definitely one of those songs that takes you back to a specific moment in your life. Time needs to stop flying by so damn fast.
Keep up….
A very sweet time/moment/memory.
I love this song, always brings me back…so many memories.
Ya
2023 I’m still here!! I was a teenager singing this as it played on 106& park!! I LOVED Chingy! 😂 this song was always my fav! 🔥 Jason Weaver never disappoints either!!
Me too
Damn, this takes me back to when me and my first girlfriend use to have 3-way phone convos with our friends on our house phones, before everybody had their own cellphone lol
Seriously, those were the days
Those were the days.....my lil girl is only 9 and has her a cell phone. I'm like damn, who be calling u. friends and u dad and grandma and grandpa is what she always say.what ever the case is.. This is my thang back then.
Lol hell yea
mskiara101 10 Way ? Damn, I never knew we were able to do that lol
Hahaha mskiara101 babe, I know exactly what ur saying... that was the funnest thing ever... idk 'bout ya'll but, I had to hide lol ...because we would have late conversations and my parents slept next door.
I just came here to hear Jason Weaver sing ! he killed this chorus love love love it!
Brings back memories of my childhood, my love for hip-hop 🎉🎉🎉❤..
2020 anyone? Jason Weaver killed it and Chingy is so cute! Keisha was the perfect person to play his love interest. Absolutely love her. This song will never age.

You not lying about that
Couldn't have said it better..
OrangeNinjaTurtle123
So basically the same...except for kids playing in the streets and less advanced technology.
they dont make relate able music anymore.
OG MUSIC ❤ time when there was No UA-cam that was until 2005!
Song is from 2003 still i never forget the music that brings peace to my heart and made my mind fly & my brain dance ❤
Jason Weavor interview brought me here. Ya'll need to put that man name in the title. He's the featured artist on this song.
Agreed!
