I've been looking for good volleyball shoes for the past few years. I bought these a couple months ago, and they were perfect for my play style (fair bit of straight up-and-down jumping, lots of lateral movement). You were absolutely spot on with this review. Heel slippage was a minor issue at one point after I broke them in. I changed my lacing to accommodate the change and the lockdown is good again. The traction is amazing, especially on dirty courts where a lot of my teammates tend to slip around. I really wanted something with impact resistance due to consistent knee and achilles pain after a lot of jumping. I haven't had issues since wearing these, so I'm happy to report that they live up to their name. One issue I have had, however, is the laces. It's the cheap set that Nike puts on a lot of their lower-priced shoes. They've already frayed/broke/fused/melted at multiple points on one of my shoes. It could be partially due to my play style, but I'm still annoyed I that I need to replace them this early on.
I appreciate you Doc for going in depth for such budget shoes. I mainly play outdoor and I don’t have many options for shoes and these videos really do justice. Please do more!
Picked up from Nike for $56, I noticed how laterally stable they were with try on. Also the height volume is very very low, felt like if someone was slightly placing their foot on top of mine. I love the silhouette and design of these
These have been out of my rotation for a while now since I have a number of other basketball shoes I use and prefer. I gave this a try again earlier and I was quite surprised how I liked playing in these. Everything you said in this review is spot on.
I have a pair of these, played in them a few times, and not too bad. For the price, I think they are fine. Maybe a good shoe if you want to give your favorite more expensive ones a rest.
Love your work!! I would love to see how a chinese knock off replica pair of shoes holds up against an original brand name shoe.. that would be really interesting to know if they are playable shoes or not
So glad to see a review from Zach on these, I have worn them for 6 months and they are my favourite shoe of the last few years. Just a really well constructed, basic (not overcomplicated like most shoe designs atm) build shoe that is super comfortable. I use them walking, playing ball, have used them to play tennis. Might try to wear them to the office next 🤣
When you say 28.5cm, which size are you referring to? EUR 45, which is usually 29cm? Also, can you include the metric system in future videos, cause I have no idea what you're talking about? I google farnheit, ounces, inches and then I forget the ratio and I can't convert that quickly. You've got about 350 mil americans in your target audience, and then another 8.000.000.000 im the rest of the world.
For a month now, I have been playing basketball using the Nike Varsity Compete TR 3 on a wooden indoor court. What a surprise to me, it turned out to be very comfortable to wear, light, and the traction was extraordinary. What do you thing about nike varsity compete tr 3 doc?
I use them for indoor and outdoor Pickelball. Great shoe for the money. They are a bit narrow in the toe box but seem to be fine after break in. I go through a couple pair a year due to wear on the sole. They always seem to be on sale on the Nike website. Just picked up a pair today for 56.00
@@FootDoctorZachhi doc, I actually went ahead and tried so hard to find a way to measure what my actual size is. I guess I am screwed since apparently I am at least a 12, (11.5 inches length, 12 cm on the width). But at least I got a replacement for 12s. I always just assumed that I am a double D* or something, but apparently it’s more. I should have gone with the Puma Court Rider Chaos hahaha, wanted the Dame certified since you recommended it well for wide feet and had really high scores for a budget shoe (but it was not at sale, all pairs were SRP). Guess I’ll try next time to get a proper size calculation first.
Decent. Comfortable basketball shoe for indoors/outdoors but durability wise doesn't offer much side support and the upper mesh will wear down and brake.
got two of these on two sizes. true to size and an inch higher. this does not fit well for wide footers... if I go one more size up hill slip would be very dangerous...
I got these for volleyball, they started wearing down so so quickly. The durability is terrible. Support and cushion is alright but I'm kinda disappointed in my purchase. Im thinking about buying lebron 20s if I can get a size 12 pair, if not maybe Dame 8s or something. Any one got other recs for 6'5 210 volleyball player, bounce and cushion is I important since ill be max jumping a lot
@@sdqsdq6274 the grip isnt really worn down that badly from wear, but on dusty courts the grip isn't really great. the rubber on the front of the outsole started coming apart and the knit on the top ripped on the left one. tbf its volleyball so sometimes we fall and stuff, so for ball might not be as bad
I badly sprained my ankle with these. Never had an issue with my ankle until now. There is no ankle support and they are too high off the ground. I ended up buying Adidas pro model 2g and the D.O.N. Issue 5.
I also just sprained my ankle in these and have never ever had ankle problems. However, I didn’t attribute my injury to the shoe, I’m actually happy I had them on as I think I would have hurt myself sooner if I didn’t start wearing these shoes. Can you describe your injury and why you think it was the shoe? I’m open to hearing your opinion and changing mine.
Hey doc, i've been wearing the trc blaze court shoes and my plantar fasciitis is just killing me, what do you think i should be looking for a shoe so i dont get that pain?
Worst basketball shoes I ever bought... Cheap, the heel comes out and at the same time the rest of the foot is struggled. Too long and too narrow. Sprained my ankle with them without any other player involved.
They are great a specially for price I've paid £37 on discount so I took 2 pairs😁 Perform very well much better than some shoes even 3x more expensive. I can highly recommend them. Since I put them on my feats I knew that is a bulls eye 🎯 so comfy and wraps feats very well. You will not buy anything better than this for that money !

This or impact 4?
Been wearing this for months as daily, definitely not recommend for court due to airmax if you are top heavy.

It did not. The witness 8 is the jounger model.
