They are just better laners. They farm cs efficiently and leads in lane. NA teams just can’t compare. They lose in lane already and get afraid to teamfight. But the sad thing is even if they don’t fight the gold gap just become bigger,while the lack of teamfights also make the game look awful.
Showmaker has the lowest CSd among the 4 mids from LCK but has the highest KDA among them and is one of the low econ players 2nd to faker. The guy just glues his opponent laner to mid lane without any pressure.

C9 looked very solid this game and the Ryze ult seemed to be a good idea as well. It didn't work out this time but they will win a game or two if they keep it up.
their top lane last pick was stupid tbh. but him losing too hard in top has a lot to do with qiyana dying lvl 1. her jungle pathing was just too easy to track after that and graves had zero pressure.
Man NA was not playing to win, Qiyana and Jax didn't take advantage of the perma push of graves, they just let him do it and the teamfight at 37:46, NA had the upper hand but only Leona and Jax wanted to continue, while Miss and Ryze were trying to disengage and Qiyana was pretended to be a ward, they could have run away or continue fighting but they couldn't agree as a team and took part ways. But let's face it, NA could have won this easily but they don't have the right mind set. It felt like if their champion were saying to DWG "let us win" instead of taking the victory by themselves.
Your analysis is at level of Iron 4. Graves and Xin could beat Jax and Qiyana at that time. And with TF nearby, forget ganking. At dragon fight it was 5v5 fight, C9 was down 10k and if they didn't disengage, all 5 would die and game over.
Letting C9 default to meta champions is actually genius because they suck on them. The instant picks on MF and Leona made me roll my eyes, and then the Jax nearly made me stop watching there.
Strange to me that NA neglects Macro to such a heavy degree. Watching NA lose nearly every early game in some early death or loss of vision is amazIng. We literally stacked top lane bush for what? One kill over complete knowledge of the map? Or we draft like complete dogshit, and end up 3k down despite even kills? We place no reasonable value on vision and early presence. They act without evidence so often. NA is fueled by egotism and it costs us every chance we have at proving anything at worlds. Even when it isn’t egotism, you have players like Sven who are fundamentally good that play with such conservatism they might as well do nothing. NA is disappointing not because we are bad, it’s disappointing because we have everything to win and yet fail in spite of this consistently. Sometimes I wonder if NA even deserves 3 seeds. At this point I’d rather watch a multi seed Japanese team.
Our national fundamentals are terrible. Every sin I see in our pro teams, I REALLY see in our lower tier games and unranked draft games. North Americans play League like the game is Street Fighter. There is no understanding that resources and objectives matter *far* more than champion fights and kills until a commanding lead is established. Our players constantly facecheck bushes, push and gank ahead of double or triple stacked waves, dive or dive behind towers without proper support. And this kind of Worlds performance is our reward.
