This single tutorial taught me more about customization of C1Pro than I'd read or seen before. I have gone over it slowly, pausing, making notes, and then transferring some of the notes to changes in my C1 interface. Highly recommended. Andrea talks fast so be prepared to pause and gather your thoughts before continuing. I will definitely watch his other tutorials. Good work Andrea. Very clearly presented!
Buenas tardes Andrea.
Thank you Andrea for another original video. Please continue building your excellent library of Capture One tutorials. Your channel is an indispensable source of info for all of us Capture One users.
Man, I’m really enjoying your videos on C1. It’s been about a couple of months since I got the annual subscription. Wish I’d come across your channel earlier - may have to go back through my photos and work on some of my edits.
Hi Farhiz, glad you like them! Thanks so much for the comment and I hope you're having fun with C1. It's an incredible piece of software to work with. Post-processing is a lifetime learning process, and going back and reviewing old images is pretty normal for photographers of any level. So, go for it! I have plenty of new content coming up about Capture One, so stay tuned :) Ciao
Fantastic video! I, too, love keyboard shortcuts but wasn't really taking advantage of them yet with CaptureOne. I switched to CaptureOne about a year ago but also hadn't customized the interface yet. I was aware of the new speed edit tools but, again, hadn't used them yet. Your tutorial showed me how powerful they can be. I will definitely be customizing my interface and shortcuts so I can concentrate more fully on the editing process. Plus, your skills are awesome! Love the final processed RAW file.
That's awesome! Thanks for your nice comment and I'm really glad you found the video useful. Yes, the speed edit feature is super handy and saves time. I personally have cut it down to almost half how often I switch between the different tool tabs. Just that is huge! Btw, if you have the time, I have a new mini masterclass on Skillshare where I go through my organizing photos technique in Capture One. You can find the link in the video description. Ciao :)
Wonderfull ! I'm using C1 since many years but it's always very positiv to see friends using the software deep and with inteligence ! Thank you for the share / Bests regards JF
You take C1 tutorials to a higher level🤗🤗 in the video you mention you use sessions for culling and adjustments and then moving over the culled photos to a bigger catalog. How do you move over the photos with all the settings to a catalog?
Hi Martin, thanks so much for the comment, and glad you enjoyed the video. To import a session into my main catalog I copy the session folder to the external hard drive where my photo archive resides. From there I'll use the "Import from Session" function in Capture one to reference the images and transfer all the adjustments. As I use always the same folder structure with images sorted by date for both session & catalog, the process is quite seamless. I hope this helps :)
Hey James, happy to hear from you. Thanks so much for the comment, I'm glad you found the video useful. Venice is pretty toasty these days, but the Dolomites are a great alternative to stay cool. How about you and the other two Texan boys? Ciao :)
Picked this up on Facebook, glad I did, really useful to see the editing steps. I have C1 but tend to spend most of my time in LR, so good to see a demonstration of the advantages to be had in using C1 . Is there anywhere in your C1 video set where you describe how you achieve your Glow feature?
Hi Keith, thanks so much for the comment. I use the Wacom Intuos Medium (the Bluetooth version). For photo retouching is more than enough. I didn’t see much difference with my previous Intuos Pro model. It’s cheaper, compact, and it works perfectly :) Ciao
Thanks so much for the comment, glad you enjoyed it. I use the Bluetooth version of the Wacom Intuos Medium. It's more than enough if you're not into drawing or advanced graphic design. I don't use hotkeys on the tablet, since I've been using the TourBox Elite as an external controller device. Ciao :)
Hi Sylvia, thanks for your comment, and glad you found the video useful. Regarding your question, I use both. Session and Catalog. I find Sessions very handy when I'm traveling as I'm not forced to lug around the big main catalog. Then I import the sessions into my big centralized catalog when I get back home. The next video will be about how I use sessions, so stay tuned. I hope this helps. Ciao :)
Hi Roderick, glad you enjoyed the video, thank you! As for the large icons, you need to go over the three vertical dots on the right of the panel, click and select "Icons and Text". I hope this helps. Ciao
@@AndreaLivieriPhoto Hi, sorry to bother again but I do not have the 3 dots, would love to send you a screenshot but not possible here. Are you also on Cap One 22?
Hi Laurie, sure. The Wacom tablet is very easy to configure based on your workflow. The number of functions you can manage depends on the tablet model you have. But, in general, even with the basic Wacom Intuos (the one I use), you can map almost everything you need. Ciao
These minor updates for capture one 22 don't require payment, right? It only requires payment if let's say it's capture 23 for example? Just asking because there are minor updates but it's saying 30-day free trial? A little confusing.
Great content, as usual ❤️ there is something I don't understand: why creating a layer with a style brush if you can create a layer THEN use the proper tool. Or maybe (even certainly) style brushes are specific tools. If so, how do you adjust them ? I hope you understand my question, not easy without C1... Edit: founded the answer on a C1 tutorial, effect is applying automatically while you brush (obvious 😅). So, interest of the tool is that it is a quick edition tool for a specific area of the photo, correct ?
Hi Romain, thanks so much for the comment, I really appreciated it. About your question, yeah, Style Brushes are a sort of "tool presets". You can definitely start from scratch by creating a brand new empty layer and then painting using the brush parameters you like. Style Brushes are just a collection of very convenient pre-build shortcuts (you can customize them as you like) that give you a better starting point for each specific adjustment you want to apply. They really help to speed up the editing process. I hope this helps :) Ciao
English with Italian aksent is much better than native English. But I think this goes for everything, a flavor of Italy will always make things improve.
yeah ok its a good showing of what c1 can do... but the image has lost all integrity because its nothing like what you captured. This is the problem with the digital darkroom..

Thanks for stopping by. You can’t remove the background in Capture One, that’s something only possible by using a software like Photoshop. Ciao
