5:32 Having destroyed the new door handle because using a rivet gun is pretty dumb way to show how to replace. Using a locknut and machine screw is much better choice and is what basically every shop will do because they know destroying someone new handles isn't good business.

Appreciate this video, this was a project I had "done" months before this video was put out. Could not find any which illustrated how that clip works (very difficult to see in there, as far as people not really showing it in their videos). I apparently successfully had gotten it out, not certain, hopefully I didn't break it. But, a couple weeks after doing all else, the rod did fall out of place, due to not getting it clipped back in. Would've been great to watch this at the time (probably about 9 months ago), but now shall attempt to get back in and do it right.
Or you can get a washer, bolt and nut to fasten it and be a 1000 times easier and cheaper than to go buy a rivet gun youre only going to use that one time...that was the dumbest idea for door handles
Could of just 😂 replace it with screws and nut not a big deal also it would of been easier if you first install the handel first then connect the rod after word
If I got my truck back and it had that new scratch under the handle from you trying to figure out how to use a riveting tool , you’d be replacing more than just the handle.

Thanks. You make it look easy but I'm struggling. Your video has shown me the way to go. Thanks again.

Excellent! Thanks so much. Any info on the riveter and rivet size you can give us?
Thank you for a detailed video! I wish you the best in 2024 plus!
Actually you don't need to remove the plugs the panel comes out no problem I used nuts and bolts to attach the new handle
Thank you for this video. My drivers side handle broke on my 2003. 21 years old. I suppose it was time. I'm going to replace it tomorrow.
Thank you you made this so easy for me! It took me all of fifteen minutes.
What’s the rivet size?
Great vid

Thanks for the video. I'm not handy at all with anything on a vehicle, and I managed to get it done. 😂
Thank you. This made it easy
Thank you so much. Just got the passenger door-handle changed. 😅
Any idea where to find a replacement piece for that clip it was snapped off on mine
What size rivets are those?
Rivets ? I’m selling my stupid Ranger

Thanks you I save $50
Doesn't work on a 2001, different set up
