Thanks for posting!!! Great info. I love how folks call Hostage Rescue CQB, "old" or "outdated". It's an indicator that those people don't know "why" or "when" to implement those techniques. Additionally, what works for a 24 man assault element, with every assaulter carrying at least two breaching charges and 6 bangs, probably won't work for a 4-man team without the other 20 assaulters, bangs or explosives. I've trained with SureFire and Dave Maynard back in the day, gone to multiple Special Forces CQB courses and SWAT schools and can 100% agree that CQB is all about angles. How you approach those angles (combat clearance, limited pen, deliberate, dynamic, etc...) depends on too many variables (situation, your team's skills, mission, enemy capability, etc...). When I left Special Forces, I went and worked overseas on 2-4 man teams and our CQB had to change because of our size and mission. Just like each play on the football field is different for many reasons, a SWAT team (or any team that does CQB), should be able to change their speed, flow, TTP, etc...based on the situation and scenario.

Right on. It makes me laugh when civilians are trying to replicate what they think Tier 1 units are doing. Like you said, 20 assaulters shy of 24, no charges or bangs, no Intel cell telling them which house to hit, etc. The best thing a civilian can learn is to be a beast with their pistol and handgun, shoot a bolt gun out far, and admit that civilians will almost never have a reason to do CQB shy of clearing their own house if a burgler breaks in.

As an active duty 11B Sqaud Leader. I actually got completely destroyed by my 1SG for using some of these very points.
I had my Sqauad Slowing Down and Speeding up during different points clearing an office building in training. Because my entire squad had maybe 2 training events before that under their belts.
When I explained we lacked the experience and skills to deal with an office with civilians running intermixed with active shooters so I wanted us to breech and clear slower to allow us to PID targets before engaging.
I was explicitly told. "NO. You always clear rooms as fast a possible everything. You don't pie anything you don't do any dynamic breaching you open the door from the side and run in.

There are precious few First Sergeants who know even the basics about Skill Level 1 or 2 tasks, let alone 5. They need to be fired and replaced by people who are trained by something like AWG. The whole NCOPD system needs to be trashed and re-built, as does initial entry training.

8:00 "Show me one Tier 1 unit posting their training videos on the internet....."
Isn't there fairly recent video of X-Ray Alpha conducting an HR training hit with the unit that Stoker tried picking apart? lol
Yes, I understand that training may be a few years old, but still. And yes, I realize that any Tier 1 training video on the net is few and far between.......

A lot of PD SWAT teams try/want to mirror elite military units. They don’t want or choose to ask the hard questions that was discussed in this video. That includes equipment as well. My old agency SWAT team took a class from a well known Operator and asked what zero on his IR laser on his rifle during GWOT. They switched to his, I got to know his AI from the class and told him. He said that zero was for military purposes in a war zone not American police.

It's a shit take to say tactics should be withheld from the American citizenry when the entire reason for the second Amendment is to have a well trained and prepared populace. Such an anti American stance. Do better

It's not a shit take because that isn't any of these guys take to begin with. There is nothing Anti American about what any of these dudes put out. If you actually pay attention and have followed any of these dudes poor to these clips being posted on YT you would know that they bring pretty solid and practical info that even "civilians " could take plaits and pieces of and use it to train better. Instead of getting your panties in a bunch for no reason maybe you should do your due diligence and dig a little deeper and actually veiw their prior content for better context

dude this is retarded. anti American stance when he's been fighting on americas behalf since long before "doInG CEe QuE BEE" was trendy for dorks who are overweight and will never do it including fighting the government. You can do all the same things to become well trained as him me and thousands of other Americans have . recruitment office always open. and dry fire and common sense are free, you can be capable without paying someone money for a jerk off session weekend course. 90% of these people aren't really trying to get better, they are trying to flex on IG and be able to say they did XYZ without the sacrifice .
