Maam - I hv heard that pitra dosh pujan can be done only by the eldest son of the house .. or the tarpan has to be done by the eldest living male member. If that person is not in a position to do tarpan, can younger sons or daughters in law do pitra pujan ?

This is a very limited, over generalized and victim blaming perspective and doesn't account for the trauma and abuse at the hands of these elders. They chose to breed and instead of taking responsibility, they spread poison so their future generations suffer. How do you give gratitude to your abusers? All you can do is forgive them and not wish them harm. I understand Pitra dosh exists, I have been living it my whole life but this perspective that gratitude to elders will solve it for everyone including those who have suffered trauma at the hands of these very people, is completely incorrect. I have not caused any harm back to them, only tried to help them at high personal cost but it hasn't solved for anything. Please refrain from such generic advice in the name of astrology and counseling.
