I never feel like tucking looks right, so I end up just wearing a pencil skirt and a top that flows out just enough to skim the line of the skirt. But I also prefer to wear skirts so the band almost sits at the empire waist. I think I am pretty short-waisted. 😂 I wonder why tucking never looks right on me...

⏳Have an hour glass shape w/a long waist & large breasts, so I stick with mid-rise. Otherwise, it can look like I have no torso😖.
😉Do get that it's more flattering, but I'm 🚫 a big tucker either🤣. Not unless I am going to wear a traditional suit set. In which case, I might choose Chi's 1st more body conturing (not tight) wrap top option here to tuck in my navy pleated skirt underneath it's coordinating cropped blazer.
🤍Now, Chi's beautiful white top in her 2nd example was a bit blousy & romantic w/puffy statement sleeves. It's not my style😔, but I could swap it for:
(1) a slightly oversize feminine button front blouse & tie the hem @ the waist instead of tucking; or
(2) a graphic t-shirt knotted @ the waist instead.
🤗 Both will give a cropped impression similar to the full tuck for the same ideal 1/3 + 2/3 proportion without any of the awkward discomfort.

I gave this advice to my friend, she's 5'0, she said it doesn't make her look somehow taller lol, it's just make the body look more proportioned. She sticks with long straight leg jeans and flare jeans only
I just had a midi skirt hemmed to about where it would hit on a tall girl. I felt like a 1st grade teacher at the length it was at before, feels much more sophisticated now!

I love those flowing pleated skirts but I can never find them in a matte finish…they are always shiny or shimmery, why!

🤍 Me too. 😖The matte version can be challenging to find🔎. Those shimmery, shiny pleated skirts seem so Atlantic City🎲🎲〰️& not my personality. However, I noticed that both Trinny & Alyssa Beltempo love to style them.
😉They're slowing bringing me around to that glitzy possibility.
🤗Meanwhile, I did finally find a matte pleated skirt in navy blue. It came w/a darling double breasted cropped blazer that I usually leave open. 💗For casual fun, I've paired the set w/a body conturing pink tank top & matching pink leather Van slip-on sneakers.
