3 days bushcraft camping in the woods with my dog. The weather was foggy and rainy. I'm going to my bushcraft shelter that I built earlier. I strengthened my shelter on the first day. Then I made the campfire pit to give it better heat. I processed a tinder fungus i found in the woods. I cover the roof with tarp to protect my shelter from rain. I prepared some tasty camping meals for the 3 days that i was there. It was an epic 3 days, a camping trip to remember for sure! Thanks for joining me on the adventure!

But one day my dog found carrion in the forest and lay around in it - imagine what it smelled like and how it had to be washed later (!). I didn't know that it was possible to cook meat this way - put it right on the coals. It is necessary to try - on birch coals (I have a lot of birches in the Southern Urals, and there are few oaks, maples and other deciduous trees like yours). I see you are still warm and this hut that you have finished is still keeping warm. It's good that I made a screen for heat reflection in the hut by the campfire. But when the snow appears, we need something more capital with a stove inside. Good luck and lots of interesting ideas.
P.S.And I also threw branches away to my dog so that he would look for them longer (it's even better to buy a tennis ball for this - the dog will know that this is his personal toy). And what is a tinder box for? To scare away mosquitoes with smoke or to kindle a fire?

Bushcraft is a skillset. The bushcrafter does not have to go naked into the forest and try to survive. Doing this every week is an unrealistic fantasy. In my opinion, bushcraft skills make hiking more efficient and fun ... and don't forget, it's a PLEASURE
