Hi ! Did you use heavy weight yarn for this? Or would I be fine using medium weight and switching to a smaller hook size?

I was using red heart super saver for this project so it was a medium 4 worsted weight. And yeah if you change the yarn and hood size to match each other depending on if that is sizing up or down the project will just be bigger or smaller. Hope that helps ☺️
