    It looks nice! The shear studs and ceramic ferrules are welded by the drawn arc stud welding machine!

    Good Information, Can we know more about the machine also being used to weld the shear studs into the plate

    Very good information. Thanks for showing it to all of us. Can the same be done for vertical I section beams? I am constructing the first floor above my old house and want to make sure no load of first floor and it's roof comes under the old house, it should be distributed through I section beams around the walls. Please share your idea, it will be very helpful. House size is 550sqft (12X45ft) with 3 rooms, bathroom is separate, I have planned to use 14 20 feet I section beams to support the roof and do this to distribute the wall's load to the beam and then to the ground without adding to the old house.

    if these studs are in bent plate of beams for pour stops, how they are welded? are they welded separately when the bent plate is not fitted yet to the beam?

      Hi,
      My suggestions as follows ;
      - First weld the angle plate (if angle plate length is higher).
      - Then fix the welded plate.
      - Do studs quality check.
      (This is the most recommended and practicing method).
      If you installation location is easier, we can first install steel plate and fix the studs ( if available space is enough to Pull the welding gun). In this option, if we have limited access, we couldn't test the studs once installed.
      Note- First option is more convenient and time saving. Including handling and workmanship.

    Can the studs of size D-13, be welded diagonally on steel angles?

    • @constructionengineeringtip6028
      @constructionengineeringtip6028  3 роки тому +2

      Can be done. For that, you need to customize the shear stud bottom as per your required angle. The most important thing is to use ceramic ferrule to ensure arc welding.
