Although you have focused on your appearance, i think the most notable difference is your voice- how uncertain and soft your voice was back then vs the confidence you can hear in your voice now, because you are so much more comfortable now
I don't know if y'all remember but 5 years ago Jenna Marbles got really into plants and she mentioned how satisfying Kaylee's voice to listen she obviously had a point. Well she also mentioned that she wanted to get a purply plant with red flowers(don't remember the exact plant), Kaylee even tried to get that plant for Jenna but she soon found out that purple was from sunstress and in reality the plant looked very different from the pic Jenna showed. That is my story of how I found Kaylee and her channel and you guys have to trust my word ever since then I have not skipped a single video. I was 17 then now I am 22 and I can confidently say throughout my entire plant journey Kaylee always had my back and she was the lense in which I could look through and see all amazing and beautiful plants that weren't accessible to me at the time. One thing that never changed and we all love about her is her integrity to just be unfiltered and speak whatever is on her mind regarding plants, sellers, people, scammers, even her life. UGH I love this girl just keep it up ;D💖

I wish people were more comfortable accepting their older selves, we’re not cringe, that’s who we were at the time! I absolutely adore who you are now, but you were pretty dang cute back then too even though you weren’t yet living your authentic self.
The staghorn fern are not hard at all, and most of them don’t need high humidity to thrive. The mounting process requires a bit of technique and manual dexterity. Once you get that right, they are extremely easy to take care of!
Also- as someone who got into houseplants right around the same time you were getting started, I find it so sweet and relatable how your tastes and knowledge has grown and evolved over time, as has mine.

That was so cute! I definitely watched this video when it first came out although I don’t really remember it but I was watching all your content at the time. Oh, the nostalgia of discovering so many new plants. I love that we all went from “oh, what’s that?” to plants being thousands of dollars in 2020 all the way to now where the rare plants are becoming more common and affordable. What a journey. It feels like a decade ago. The part about the fern that’s not a fern had me lmao. I literally said “It’s not a fern” at the same time you did. 🤣 I’d love more reactions to your old content.

I’ve got 2 staghorn ferns growing quite happily in my kitchen both are potted not mounted, one of them is at least 7 years old.

Staghorns go well at my house. Very hot arid summer here in western australia. They grow outside under my carport. So lots of shade but dry dry heat.

There have been a few times over the years I’ve debated doing a blog or some plant or tree related content but I’m honestly so glad I didn’t. I think back at what I liked when I was this age or that age and I cringe to think about it 😂
I think we all love getting to spend time with you regardless of upload length but I’ve consistently enjoyed the longer formats over the last several years. So longer videos, IMHO, are way better.

Pretty sure I got a clarinervium, crocodile fern and the jewel orchid because of this video. All were pretty common in the Netherlands and the jewel orchid is still with me!

I have 4 staghorns and for me they are easy, just soaking the in sphagnum mounted stags in fertilized water when dry and give it much light. The most beautiful and easy growing in my collection is Horn's Surprise.❤

You def DONT need the humidity for staghorn. I have had mine indoors and at 40-50%RH for the last 5 years and she thrives!!! As long as you mount her on wood with some moss she will thrive. I feed every other watering. I let her dry out completely. She is literally like a cast iron plant. Will not die. Even in lower light. Just get one!!!!!

Bro. It was this very video...well that very video....where I first saw the Cercestis Mirabilis and fell in love with it. I got one about a year or two later and it is the BIGGEST pain in the ass plant in my collection. And I have you to blame for that 😂
