This video was just recommended to me through UA-cam, and despite having no interest in doll collecting and not having watched an unboxing video like this in literal years I decided to click. I've just got to say that I was immediately struck with how good your camera presence was right off the bat! Your passion really shines through in your presentation and I was incredibly surprised to see how new you are to the whole UA-cam game. For only being around for two-ish months you've really come out swinging with how professional your videos are. So that's really it, I love your charisma and I can definitely see you going the distance! Best of luck to you, I'm wishing the best for you and your channel!
Thank you! That really means a lot. 🥰 I mostly do UA-cam for fun, but I'm constantly trying to improve my skills where I can. It's nice to hear that the effort is paying off.
Cinderella is stunning ! Those girls on the the box photographs are so gorgeous too, is like they could all become supermodels in the future if they want to.
Hello. Cinderella is beautiful. Oh wow, wow, wow, absolutely stunning. Cinderella is my princess & whoever has done her is very clever. Take care Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿
How adorable is that coach purse on Cinderella?! These dolls are so great, so so pretty. I'm glad Disney is doing new dolls lines like these and ily ❤ now if we can only get leaks of live action Little Mermaid dolls from Disney Store 🤗 Would make my day! Great vid!
I know! I am really hoping to get some good live action 17-inch dolls. Lol, I would buy them all. They'll probably do Ariel, but I really want Ursula and Eric too. 🫠
i think the purpose of bend/click legs was to showcase seamless articulation and a more life-like appearance in clothes. At least that was the goal from the sixties through the first five years of the eighties. Also, getting your doll to cross its legs was something of a flex back in the day. i feel that those legs are coming back due to nostalgia, but Disney and Mattel doesn't give enough of a fuck to do it properly. When i was coming up in the nineties, getting Barbie to successfully cross her legs was a challenge. By the mid to late eighties, fashion dolls just couldn't do that anymore.
That's a great point. I forget that some people prefer the joints to be hidden. And I never thought about them crossing their legs, but that also makes perfect sense. I personally prefer as many joints as possible lol i don't mind if they are visible, as long as they work. 🤣
@@dollthighs i only mid when it comes to Barbie dolls because Barbie and her friends had always been known to look graceful in their clothes. The joints don't add to a graceful look, in my opinion. Maybe i'm just being selective traditionalist when it comes to Barbie. i'm KINDA coming out of that though, because i now have two semi MTM hybrid dolls in my collection. 😄
I also wanted to skip Cinderella when these were just released, as all 4 of them increase international shipping drastically and I have to choose 3 to keep it more or less acceptable, but now I'm thinking of skipping Tiana, she is also less fitting with the rest of the dolls color wise, as others have blue-ish and gold tints. The bend and snap knee was invented so the dolls could sit in a more natural pose compared to a straight leg, as it looks awkward in this position, if you keep these standing it doesn't matter that much.
I think since these dolls are meant just to be displayed they didn't bother with articulation. Similar to the Model Muse body Mattel uses on their collector Barbies.

i did NOT realize that the flowers in Rapunzel's hair were molded plastic. That is really cool!
They look really nice for molded plastic flowers. lol I was a little surprised as well.

Yeah, Cinderella is a standout for sure. 🥰
I was supposed to do something else, and then I came upon your unboxing video, and realized that I always have time for your doll’s videos!
😂😂😂 I'm always happy to help you procrastinate! 🥰

@DollThighs Yes and the Sisters and Daddy King Triton, oh my gosh I'll pass out if they do Daddio Triton!!!
@Oppossed hahaha noo because I would buy them all, and I really shouldn't spend $1000 on dolls right now. 😅
I do like dolls but other than that you do help ease my stress! Thank you for continuing talking about the subject you enjoy.
Thank you! I'm glad I can help. 🥰
Wow, that Cinderella doll is absolutely gorgeous!!💙
She really is! She's definitely my new favorite.

I know. I love them! 🥰
If only they made a Sleeping Beauty one I would soo buy😩
Yeah I would definitely buy more of these if they did more princesses!

All 4 of them are gorgeous, honestly. I had trouble deciding which ones to buy, so I just bought all 4. 🤣
@@dollthighs you don't have to pay ~90 usd for international shipping on all of them and I do, so I'm more picky

Agreed. Also, Disney never expects collectors to take their dolls out of the box. 🫠
I had the exact same problem with Rapunzel's leg! Bent it and it immediately broke, I wonder if it's a problem across the whole batch
Most of mine had wonky legs so yeah it probably is a consistent problem.
Mine have the same eyebrows - so not wonky😅
Lol, good to hear. 🤣
💕😍💕 ola from Tejas cutie 💋... Keep up the good work 💕😍💕😍
Thank you so much 🤗 There is definitely more to come!
