i bought my tyros 4 black edition in 2012 and i still enjoy it every day. There are only 2500 made worldwide and I am one of the proud owners. I will never sell it.
Me also. Absolutely love mine. The limited edition run doesn't stop there being loads of them available for sale, strangely. Mine was a used model, actually. If I ever lose the included expansion data I'll never get it back because Yamaha's stupid DRM means I don't have the login details registered with my machine by the previous owner.
The tyros is the best arranger of yamaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the 3.4 and Tyros Tyros 5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the Tyros 3 and I stand by God !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That on board subwoofer will really come in handy for organ pedal tones! You will really be able to feel the 32 foot, 64 foot and maybe even 128 foot bass notes through this! Also, what is quite unique about this whole series of keyboards is the stand up satellite speakers (most boards have them built in flat) and there ate a lot of keyboards lacking their own speakers (or amplifiers for that matter)! (Such as stage pianos and organs)! Just ask Dan "Fingers" Radowitz at the Oakland-Alameda County Colosseum for he plays a Tyros because they were too cheap to install a real ballpark organ over there (how ironic since these boards cost $5300 for the 61 key model and as much as $6800 for the 76 key Tyros 5 that hit the market in 2013)?
Don't blame the machine for the fault of the player. I love arranger workstations: they're very inspirational and make great compositional aids. I wouldn't be a bit ashamed to take one of these on stage, if I could actually afford it. Pair this with a Korg Kronos or a Music Computing StudioBLADE and you wouldn't need another keyboard for a very long time. Nice demo, btw!
Thanks for your additional info. What I actually tried to say was that a combination of "PSS" and "Portatone" simply doesn't exist because "Portatone" is a term used for the "PSR" series of keyboards. Of course there has been the "PS" series in the early 80's...but that's another story. Back then there were "PS" PortaSound keyboards (PS-200, PS-400 etc.) as well as "PS" Portatone keyboards (PS-55, PS-6100 etc.). Very confusing...but fortunately there are keyboard maniacs like you and me! :-)
The best keyboards I've ever heard, beautiful design. But unfortunately I have no money to buy it. As soon as enough money that will be my first investment to buy this Tyros 4!!! :))))))))
Waw what a jolly interesting prezentation, it made me dance😄. Thank you for sharing this instrument's cualities and what it can do. Let me ask you is it imperative to have a sustain pedal? I never had to use it before and I am a bit nervous of using it... Would I be able to get away with or it will have to be introduced gradually. I am a very humble self taught ear player and I don't or rather can't play too fast, just gentle little songs. Thank you for your time, wonderful and Happy Birthday Tyros☺👏👍.
Totally agree with you! Katsunori or Bert could be used by yamaha to show how this keyboard is a beast. as an owner, i couldn't imagine this machine was able to produce... this Tyros for sure is not perfect, but it realy sounds good, in many styles (rock, techno, as well)!
IMPOSSÍVEL ACREDITAR QUE EXISTEM PESSOAS QUE CLICAM EM "NÃO GOSTEI DESTE". NO MÍNIMO SÃO UM BANDO DE INVEJOSOS QUE TEM TECLADOS DE OUTRAS MARCAS E QUE SABEM QUE SEUS INSTRUMENTOS NÃO CHEGAM NEM PERTO DA POEIRA DESTE TECLADO MARAVILHOSO...
I'm still waiting for a qy 800.Exactly the same as the 700 but with updated soundbank and fresh patterns/phrases.I can only dream.Any suggestions to the closest thing are welcome.
The only keyboards with 76 keys that i have ever seen from Yamaha are the Yamaha EX5 / EX7 synthesizers from 1998. They discontinued the EX series 1 year before Tyros came out, so i suppouse they didn't make any keyboard with 76 keys anymore.
I was very tempted to buy a black Tyros 4 last summer when one was listen on EBay but unfortunately I put off buying it thinking nearer to my birthday I could get the Tyros 5 if the black Tyros 4 sells out or maybe the Tyros 5 would be better because it's not only newer but also avalible with 76 keys. However sadly my plans for buying the Tyros 5 were ruined because I resigned with imediate effect and have been unemployed ever since. But I didn't really need a Tyros 4 or 5 I needed a new computer!
and another point to make is, this is an arranger keyboard - not a synthesizer; not a performer-oriented keyboard, not a digital piano. each kind of keyboard is catered to different kinds of keyboardists/pianists who have different requirements. (or course, these days, keyboards are becoming more versatile - taking on the functions of different kinds of keyboards) the focus of an arranger keyboard is not on emulating real acoustic piano keys.
Yamaha has the Clavinova. I have a 1990 model, and its touch is remarkably accurate for its age. Tyros keyboards seem to be more for entertainment, while Clavinova keyboards try to emulate a concert Grand piano, including 'hammer' keys and touch.
dose anybody know how many thousands of dollars does this machine cost!!!! it is very very impressive machine, the guy playin it is great too. interesting!!!!
Yamaha Tyros 4 A great instrument. Great sounds, especially sounds great: Concert Grand Piano. In Poland it is, but very expensive: about 14 thousand. zł I do not know anyone else, but I'm curious how it will look like the Yamaha Tyros 5, and whether he will
Hola amigos, a mi me encantaría que sacaran un tyros de 88 o 76 teclas, sería genial. Ya en sí tyros es un teclado maravilloso... Saludos a todos.. Desde México.

PSS stands for PortaSound Small for keyboards with smaller keys, and PSR stands for PortaSound Regular for keyboards with regular sized keys
Excellent keyboard and electone player!! Mr Martin Harris from a fan from Chavezland (ex Venezuela)

I did not know how to play piano, but I love it. yamaha tyros4 was my lover piano.
this keyboard is just amazing! i 've just baught one and it sounds really like in the video! impressive voices, styles and so on...
Great! Im a big fan of Tyros keyboards since the first one. They are expensive but its quality on all scenes is worth the price! Thank you Yamaha
I think the keyboardist just put us all out of work!
You probably mean the PSR 400 (PSS stands for the PortaSound series with smaller keys).
Love the Latin vocals with the bossa beat that start at 04:55. The English choral tradition is wonderfully shown at 05:40. Great performances Martin!
Tyros sounds like a final boss in a video game. And I need to get out more.
Genial. Cómo ha pasado el tiempo.. ahora vamos por el Genos
amazing...voices especially d soprano.. really a great made..
Love the captions picking up the instruments lol
Looks Much better in BLACK Yamaha .

Tyros 4 aniversario ,Roland GT sinth V 2.0 ,Roland Jupiter X , NR1 Planet Tera.
I HAVE IT !
what is that style in 2:57?
I would have bought this instead of my regular silver one. Does Antone have any good eq settings for me to optimize the keyboard sound?
So... for you, what is the best arranger on the market?
piekny jest :) biutoFOL :P
Hi there SuperDENIST, would be interested to hear those super strange, fx and techno sounds and songs. Can you give us a link?
why would someone dislike this?
Lets all write in different languages! Makes it so much easier.
i have a tyros 4 but the guitars do not sound like yours? how did you get those sounds did you alter them and transpose them up or down
He uses a sustain pedal for guitar effects.

Aktuelles aus der Musikmesse: Tyros feiert Geburtstag. 10 Jahre! Dazu gibt es eine limitierte Tyros4 Edition in schwarz.
Does anybody knows how much does it cost? more or less, international price, no details.
Thanks
