Traded in my Red Voyager 12'6 for the Starboard 12'6 Deluxe Lite after struggling with a few portages and walks from the car park to the beach. The difference in weight is unbelievable. Also my distance pers paddle stroke and average speed (not massively scientific) is around 20% better.
Hi Brian, I feel paddlers under 85-90kg wont feel it on the water. Riders over that will feel it more especially if they move around the board. But when loading up the board at front and back you wont feel the deflection at 15mm really. In general I feel boards at 18mm+ are where more paddlers can feel the board bending. Hope that helps? Reuben
Hi. Need a touring sapboard for fast travelling on day hikes along the sea coast, total distance up to 25 km. Height176 cm, weight 85kg. Very little luggage. Almost always waves and chop. How will these sapboards behave on waves up to 1.5 metres? 12,6 or 14?
Good question, I find that when paddling in really choppy conditions I do like a 12'6 unless im just paddling down wind when a 14 would be great. When paddling in these types of conditions any iSUP will be tested. But I would rather be on a Starboard touring board then many other brands. Any help ? Thanks Reuben
I am 109 kilos and 175 cm. Need board for 2 trips 100 km river 2 days. And 3-6 trips fo 10 km on flat. And some seaa going where I should do couple 5 km trips. What bord will you recommend for me.
Hi, Im guessing you are going to be carrying a bit of gear with you on these trips too. Best board possibly... 14x30 DDC or DSC. But if you want more stability the 14x32 / or a faster narrower board the 14x28. You will probably get the more out of a DDC if you don't mind the extra weight of the board over the DSC? Does this help? Thanks Reuben

Thanks for your comment.
Great boards. I spent a year on a 14'x28" Touring and loved it. Very versatile.
However, I fully agree on the towing eye. I actually cut it off!
Thanks for your comment Shane.
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Is the 15mm deflection from the Deluxe Lite noticeable when paddling?
Seems high to me.
