Didn't quite know of him, but listening to him, it was an absolutely great interview. And I love comradery among the veterans that pooled their resources to support another music brother in his time of need.
a lot of these veterans artist made lots of money them just wasted them money he is not telling the truth who still listening major mackerel in 2020 smash the like button
Delroy Samuel • Reggae is international. When it comes to monetary fund it's wasn't in the interest of the artist in those days. The promoters/managers would financed their expenses and give them pocket money. They were ripped off very badly.
They got ripped off very badly back in the day. The only reason some of them have anything up to this day is because of the legacy their music left behind so they remain in demand as the years progressed. I've seen it personally. The artists of today are making way more like you will see a man have just do 1 big song on the radio but him driving a BMW or an Audi. Some of these nowadays artists waste their money as well but they are still able to have a certain amount of savings same way that is because they are getting a much better cut now.
This is real music!!! I dont know what goin on today in the industry. My respect to Mackerel Buru Papa san yellow man Nuts Shabba Super cat Lady saw Nancy Tanya and the rest of the heroes and heroines I haven't stated
This is one of the things that hurt me to the core regarding the older folk, cricketers, DJs, footballers, boxers etc. The amount of work they did and have not recieved the same financial recognition and rewards as their younger counterparts. It really hurts. And as Mackerel said, these youth are in it for the business not for the love. I don't like the direction our music has taken but there is a season for everything. Big up to artists like general degree, red rat, snaggle puss, goofy etc who brought a comedic style to the music. I feel sorry for these youth who only have "bad man, gun man , gyal tune, and flossing tunes to consume.
I got your back anytime bro. Your music is always great. Your style is unique and I love that too much. Dude, your lyrics "EEENNiii!" can never be replaced by anyone. I grew up with your music bro. I'm now 56, and still play it loud as hell. "Big up me brodah!" I got your back!
Jah know Major Dwl the whole bakery? Bwoy when a woman go find a man weh can give her it sweeter than you, there is no coming back you lose her. But real personality and one of my all time favorite artists big up icon. Keep holding strong 🙏🏾.
