I use this same logging software and use the rig control for my ft991A and ftdx10.

Been doing POTA for 2 years now and IMHO, its the best thing for the hobby in the 48 years I've been licensed. Its like Field Day, whenever you want to. Great video. I've been using AC Log for the entire 2 years doing POTA but never set it up. This will make logging a LOT more efficient. I hope all activators turn their logs in promptly and AC Log makes it very easy. Super informative video. ciao es 73

To have autofilled address placed in the Comments section, from the AC Log menu, select Callbook, then check the menu option Place Retrieved Address in Comments Field.

Great job on the video!! I'm just starting with POTA and found this extremely helpful. I know this was created and posted over a few months ago, but a recent update to the software now allows you to save entry field set-ups as templates. So now you can create a POTA based entry field set like this, and save it for for use later in case you want/need to change the arrangements later.

I have the N3FJP logging software 7.07 and if I set it up like the video. What do I do with the information I have all ready logged? can you save that and switch from log file to log file?

Thanks for sharing! This is good to see as I'm thinking about getting N3FLP and as a POTA fan, that would prove most useful.
One request : Can you either go through a sample QSO and show how you enter the data in each field as you hear it on the radio (I can see how changing the tab-order plays a big role in that) OR do a screen-capture while you're doing a POTA and let us see what it's like to work the keyboard WHILE making your QSO's? I'd be curious to see that.
Thanks again for the great content and keep up the good work.

I am planning on a video that goes through every step of an activation from planning to sending in logs. During the actual activation, I will focus the camera on the screen and keyboard of my laptop if I can. Worst case, I will focus on my screen.

I'm relatively new to electronic logging. I've started with AC Log for general logging. This video will be helpful in getting my logs setup. I have just a few dozen contacts so far. I have not yet tried POTA. If I use N3FJP, is there a way to export ONLY POTA contacts for POTA submission? Or do I need to keep POTA separated? If separation is required, is there a way to do this within N3FJP? Thanks!

So, when I do an activation, I export only the records from that activation to an adif. I keep track of the first log number then export from there.

Can you set it to auto fill the freq amd other fields that will be the same at the one location?

Yes. For me, I have my computer connected to my radio and configured for CAT control so N3FJP reads the mode and frequency that I am on. On the other fields, there is an option in the settings for the fields to keep the previous entry's data. As I mentioned, I set this for the MY_SIG_INFO field but not on the SIG_INFO field. Hope that helps.
