    The table turned out beautifully. I'm sure it will be handed down from one generation to the next. If it was stone, it would weigh 150lb or more. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

      You're so welcome and thank you for your comment!
      And I completely agree with the weight of stone, let alone the cost if you were even able to find something similar. Luckily, the customer saw the value in epoxy.
      Thanks again!

    If we didn't know better, we would think that was an extremely high end stone slab, weighing a huge amount. It is amazing!!

      That's quite a compliment, thank you!!!

    Keith, this is absolutely stunning! The rock edge is creatively amazing! You ended up with a table top that looked like an exotic pour but you had so much more control during the process. Thank you for your great videos! I'm so happy to be a subscriber on your great channel!

      Thank you so much, Carol and you have no idea how much comments like yours mean to me! It's painstakenly time consuming (for me anyway) to put together and edit these videos, but knowing they help, and receiving comments like yours keep me motivated to continue.
      So thank you so much for the kind words!

    Absolutely love your work, I do epoxy countertops but mine doesn't come close to looking as good as yours does

      I appreciate that, thank you! And don't cut yourself short, as there are so many techniques and each person sees things differently. Always get other eyes on your work because we tend to see it for what we THINK it should look like, others will see it for what it is. Just some great advice I was given years ago.

    Awesome! I’m thinking of adding epoxy to my house painting business for countertops.

      Have you worked with epoxy yet?
      If so, what kind of projects?

      Thank you so much, healing is going well it's just very slow going with shoulder surgery. I have so many videos that I'm working on right now, it just takes me forever to edit them with only one good arm, lol.
      Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it.

    Really beautiful piece! If I had a client who wanted the rock edge but wanted the sheen honed down to a satin finish, how should I handle the edges?

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  11 місяців тому

      Thank you!
      I think the only way to achieve a satin finish would be by using the Ultimate Top Coat Natural, due to not being able to hone the rock edge. I just don't know of another way. It UTC Natural an option in this case? And/or have you used the honing process before?
      Thank you for your note!

    Question for you Keith - Did you mix the brown Alumilite dye to be transparent? opaque? somewhere in between?

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  11 місяців тому

      Hi Carol and great question! I almost always mix the Alumilite Brown dye opaque because it changes hues as it spreads out, and that's what I really like about it!
