This song was the first time I saw them. I was sooo impressed with their talent. This song is so special for me. I remember they were preparing to release Dark & Wild at that moment, and until today is still one of my fav bts albums ever. So high quality, so good. They were so good since day 1, they had so much talent, discipline and star quality even in 2014. That's why they succeeded. We all knew they were great, just a listen and you just know. It was so evident and clear. I'm really glad they never gave up
Can I just say, that your English is very good. You are able to express a nuanced opinion that is worth listening to. I'm looking forward to you diving into some of Suga's songs. He has a great trilogy. Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala. They all link together to talk about his life journey. There are a lot of cultural references that may not be obvious to a non Korean watcher particularly in Daechwita and there are explanation videos out there if you fancy a deep dive. It's also out of context to view it now, and from a Western lens, and such critiques sound more reasonable. But at the same time this was released, many KPop and Korean groups had MUCH worse in their MVs and this was not shocking or anything. One group had girls crawling around on leashes. The things in this MV were common tropes in school based KDrama of the time and that is what the MV is based on. None of it was out of the ordinary. There just are always people looking for reasons to attack them. Was it misogynistic? Yes...because the culture in S Korea as a whole is misogynistic. That's why the 4B Movement exists and part of why they have the lowest birthrate in the world. In context of their culture, it was completely normal. But because of who they are, the critiques of them for this MV actually proved to be a great opportunity for growth for the boys to view things outside their own cultural lens. They used it as an opportunity to look at things differently and to grow. As usual, haters just end up helping them.

It was fun seeing baby BTS, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve rewatched a video this old and it took me a minute to recognize two members. As you have found Army is very friendly and helpful but don’t let anyone make you feel any negativity because you are not learning at a pace they expect. This is your journey and most are enjoying seeing you take it. Never rush or push yourself to meet someone else’s timetable. The point of art is to experience it through your own lens and, on here, to share what spoke to you. Looking forward to enjoying all the discoveries you have ahead, BTS has so many styles and colours in their work that no matter what you watch you are likely to get a new piece of the puzzle that makes them unlike any other group.
This is the order they signed with BigHit, with approx. dates - and they were all trainees with the agency until the group was announced in January of 2013, and they continued training until their actual tv debut on June 13th 2013: RM/ Namjoon was first in 2010 - very clever man, IQ of 148, he was already an underground rapper, his lyrics are often inspiring, and always interesting Then Suga/Yoongi, also in 2010 - Yoongi is incredibly musical (he is the most proficient on instruments out of the group, he has played piano since he was very small, and also plays guitar), they all have produced, and all three rappers produce a lot, but Yoongi is the main producer, and his ambition was initially to be a producer/songwriter, and rapper, not an “idol” (an idol is a specific thing in the Korean music industry, they can do different genres from hip hop to RnB to pop but it’s an industry in itself - agencies sign young teens, who often go to live in dorms in the big city of Seoul and they go to school during the day and train in singing and dancing and stage presence, song writing etc in the evenings and weekends, they usually train for years, waiting to be selected by their agency to debut with a new group, or possibly as a soloist, though that’s rare. It’s intense and gruelling, and sometimes produces almost cookie-cutter type groups, nothing really new or fresh or exciting. These trainees are after controlled by their agencies, they check their phones, they aren’t allowed to date, they control their food intake and how they dress…it can be hectic - but BigHit was different. And JHope/Hobi in around December 2010 - Hobi has been a dancer since he was very young, this was his main ambition, he won major competitions in dance (mostly pop ‘n lock, street, and hip hop), he learned to rap after joining the agency, mostly from Joon and Yoongi, he is also a prolific writer and producer Then Jin in early 2011 - Jin is fascinating, he was actually at university to study acting when a person from BigHit spotted him on the street and signed him for his good looks! He could neither dance nor sing and learned both as a trainee - and look at how amazing he is!! Jungkook around May of 2011 (he would only turn 14 in September of 2011). JK Entered a singing competition, and was not selected, but he got many,many offers from agencies afterwards - he chose BigHit because of Joon. He is an incredible singer, and a pretty decent drummer. He is also quite a good boxer (I know nothing of the sport but he is strong and fit, and trains quite a bit, so I reckon he must be pretty good 🤷♂️). JK is very athletic, and has worked hard on his dancing - the two main dancers (Hobi and Jimin) plus JK sometimes do dances together as the “3 J’s”, they film them and post them - awesome stuff. V/Taehyung later in 2011 (they kept him secret until debut, although he trained with the group and lived with them). Tae has an incredibly unique voice (possibly my favourite voice of the group, though that changes depending on the song), he loves jazz and older music from the 40’s, and 50’s - he has a duet with Bing Crosby (long dead) coming out in early December. Tae and Jimin are close friends because they are both born in ‘95, which is relevant in Korea because they have a “hierarchy” based on age, and they went to High school together in Seoul as trainees. Lastly Jimin around June of 2012 - he “officially” was named a member of the group in January of 2013, which is why people say he only had six months as a trainee, the shortest training period (he was already a dancer, being the top contemporary dance student at Busan High School of Arts, but he wasn’t a singer - he has worked very hard on his voice). Jimin is also a black belt in Taekwondo, plus he did Hapkido, and Kendo for 8 years. He is quite agile, and also athletic (he is the one who does the flips, and he could do the splits etc). They are all smart, they all have Bachelors degrees, and they were all doing MBA’s, but I’m not sure which ones have completed this yet - I somehow think Jin has, but I might be wrong - he was the first to graduate for his Bachelors, he is the oldest (he is five years older than JK, who is the youngest). Jin was born in September (edited - December ‘92) ‘92, Yoongi in March ‘93, Hobi February ‘94, Joon September ‘94 (official leader), Jimin October ‘95, Tae December ‘95, and Jungkook September ‘97. Hi from Tasmania, Australia! 🇦🇺 Yes, they were young here. We often refer to them as foetus BTS 😂 Although the group started to form in 2010, they were in training for a few years before they debuted in June 2013. Their concept has changed a bit from trying to be almost ‘bad boys’ to ‘boys next door’ (what you’ve referred to as flower power haha) and their discography is quite diverse, covering a few different styles. They’ve addressed issues such as mental health and struggles of young people in society, to learning to love yourself. They have SO MUCH content it can be overwhelming when you start down the rabbit hole, but it’s definitely worth the journey. It’s fun watching you become what we refer to as a Baby ARMY. I’ve been ARMY since early 2022, which isn’t that long compared to many ARMY, but since I have chronic health issues from a car accident and can’t work anymore, I’ve had the time to devote to learning quite a lot 😊 and I’m in this for life 💜

Yes, BTS is well known for being Cheeky, especially in their school trilogy era, IMHO, but you will find that every era has those personality traits peppered throughout. I'm 63 years old and enjoy this school era a LOT, so it really has nothing to do your personal age. Good music is good music no matter when it was created or by who. On a side note, I'm SO happy to get the updates on your kitty cat. Your family seems like such caring pet people to do whatever it takes to make sure your fur babies are healthy and happy. Watch BTS's performance at the 2019 MMA Awards (I think this is their best performance at the awards) - they performed this song there. BTS debuted as a 7-member group in 2013 and are still with the same lineup. The oldest is Jin - 1992, and the youngest is Jungkook - 1997. It’s just that, in addition to group activities, they all have solo songs and albums. They are all very popular, both in a group and solo. They each have their own view of their solo work, each has their own unique style, not similar to their group and not similar to each other. And all of them have long gone beyond the boundaries of K-pop. BTS is amazing! Both as a group and as solo performers! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 But it’s just that every person has their own preferences in music - some work, some don’t, and therefore, maybe not all songs and not every member of BTS (in the solo era) are liked equally by people!💜

Es muy muy diferente la forma de lanzar un grupo en Corea que como conocemos en norte y latino america, la presion, exigencia y demas es muy comtepitivo, para valorar sus logros de BTS hay que conocer tb un poco como es su cultura en general y tn su mundo del entretenimiento. Una vez comprendiendo eso realmente pasas a admirarlos y comprenderlos mas, inlcuso algunas letras de sus canciones

I struggle a lot especially with all the hair color changing in every video . At first it was so frustrating and I don’t have Army to give me advices and tips . But don’t be discouraged, you ll going to be a BTS master soon , especially if you watch their solo performances like I read in one of your answer . I don’t know if you have already a bias ( a favorite even if you like all of them ) I think you like Suga a lot . This man is creative, brave, open minded and caring . Recently Jungkook has been bullied by a military senior and Suga step on it and have confronted the bully and help with others members, family, lawyers and officers , Jk to overcome this suffering . My bias is V, not because his good look or even his voice but because of his creativity and his personnality ( we are the same: social butterfly, very empathic , weirdo, Down to earth, but also with a tiny crazy thing that make you a little different ) But I have six bias breaker. Recently I learn a lot about J hope ( because of the channel of a fan of him) and I was amazed by his very very beautiful soul . Every one of them can inspiring someone to be a better person in this tough world . Just to say, I know them since 2020 and I keep learning things and you , it’s only a week, omg. I just wanna say that I've thought this for a while and I'm finally gonna Yap a whole paragraph abt this but u are such and amazing person like you are so kind that you took a cat that is blind bc many people wouldn't and u set up a donation system for it and you always read all your comments and take all their suggestions and your genuinely so passionately reacting to them and learning more abt the boys and your reactions are so warming to army's hearts. Hi from Tasmania, Australia! 🇦🇺 Yes, they were young here. We often refer to them as foetus BTS 😂
Although the group started to form in 2010, they were in training for a few years before they debuted in June 2013. Their concept has changed a bit from trying to be almost ‘bad boys’ to ‘boys next door’ (what you’ve referred to as flower power haha) and their discography is quite diverse, covering a few different styles. They’ve addressed issues such as mental health and struggles of young people in society, to learning to love yourself.
They have SO MUCH content it can be overwhelming when you start down the rabbit hole, but it’s definitely worth the journey. It’s fun watching you become what we refer to as a Baby ARMY. I’ve been ARMY since early 2022, which isn’t that long compared to many ARMY, but since I have chronic health issues from a car accident and can’t work anymore, I’ve had the time to devote to learning quite a lot 😊 and I’m in this for life 💜

Yes, BTS is well known for being Cheeky, especially in their school trilogy era, IMHO, but you will find that every era has those personality traits peppered throughout. I'm 63 years old and enjoy this school era a LOT, so it really has nothing to do your personal age. Good music is good music no matter when it was created or by who. On a side note, I'm SO happy to get the updates on your kitty cat. Your family seems like such caring pet people to do whatever it takes to make sure your fur babies are healthy and happy. BTS debuted as a 7-member group in 2013 and are still with the same lineup. The oldest is Jin - 1992, and the youngest is Jungkook - 1997. It’s just that, in addition to group activities, they all have solo songs and albums. They are all very popular, both in a group and solo. They each have their own view of their solo work, each has their own unique style, not similar to their group and not similar to each other. And all of them have long gone beyond the boundaries of K-pop.

Datos: Debutaron con los 7 integrantes, cuando dicen que el primero en entrar fue RM y sucesivamente es que fueron reclutados los 7 y otros mas para formar BTS pero solo eligieron a los 7 que se conoce hasta el dia de hoy, ellos primero pasan a ser trainers por varios años antes de debutar (lanzarce como grupo) alli aprenden baile, canto, actuacion, etc, etc y a los mejores son selecciones para comformar un grupo que sera lanzado a ser Idol. Es muy muy diferente la forma de lanzar un grupo en Corea que como conocemos en norte y latino america, la presion, exigencia y demas es muy comtepitivo, para valorar sus logros de BTS hay que conocer tb un poco como es su cultura en general y tn su mundo del entretenimiento. Una vez comprendiendo eso realmente pasas a admirarlos y comprenderlos mas, inlcuso algunas letras de sus canciones

just a little note When we say they joined in different times, we mean like before bts debuted as a group, we are talking about the training periods, when the last member joined, which is jimin, when they became seven trainees in 2012, they then debuted in 2013 with their first song no more dream with full seven member.

It seemed to me that they are less than 7 in the video that's why I counted , as it was a very old video of theirs I wasn't sure they started performing with the whole 7 members at the start , now that's clear , also yea I don't know when they joined still. It's to much information to remember I just started doing bts content a week ago , I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday 😅 maybe your expectations are unrealistic ? If you listen something for an hour few days ago are you able to memorise every aspect of it ? If yes , congrats , you're a genius ! 🫡

After I wrote to you, I thought that you recorded this before your reaction to the guide and felt sorry for my mistake but I was busy and didn't have time to erase it! Maybe it's just me, but when I'm interested in something, I have to know everything at once! So, when I discovered BTS, after 2 weeks I was already part of the ARMY, in a fan club! Or maybe because l have a lot of spare time (my health does not allow me to go out so often). All BTS members joined Big Hit in 2011 and become trainees and debuted in 13.06.2013. I know all of the names , The names are easy to remember , but to associate the names with them and identify them in a music video while they move around it's hard you know what I mean ?
@@VictorNightroad ah don’t worry Victor, some of us forget what it’s like at their beginning when you have to learn who is who . I struggle a lot especially with all the hair color changing in every video . At first it was so frustrating and I don’t have Army to give me advices and tips . But don’t be discouraged, you ll going to be a BTS master soon , especially if you watch their solo performances like I read in one of your answer . I don’t know if you have already a bias ( a favorite even if you like all of them ) I think you like Suga a lot . This man is creative, brave, open minded and caring . Recently Jungkook has been bullied by a military senior and Suga step on it and have confronted the bully and help with others members, family, lawyers and officers , Jk to overcome this suffering .
My bias is V, not because his good look or even his voice but because of his creativity and his personnality ( we are the same: social butterfly, very empathic , weirdo, Down to earth, but also with a tiny crazy thing that make you a little different )
But I have six bias breaker. Recently I learn a lot about J hope ( because of the channel of a fan of him) and I was amazed by his very very beautiful soul .
Every one of them can inspiring someone to be a better person in this tough world .
