I'm actually really fond of Diamond Select's LOTR line so far! I have all of the figs they released till now, including the Deluxe Gollum. But I do have doubts. As someone who lived through the glory days of ToyBiz as well as the initial awesomness of Bridge Direct's Hobbit line - I am worried. ToyBiz still proves to be the only company that did the IP justice by giving just about every main, secondary and even tertiary character a figure (not to mention many variations!). I remember when Bridge Direct started off quite strong with their Hobbit line - then ended up abandoning it halfway through. I strongly fear for this series too. I'm all too afraid that they will stop after finishing the rest of the Fellowship (Boromir and Lurtz are released soon). I doubt they'll do Two Towers or Return of the King series...

Yeah I think Diamond Select ended up delivering really good Lord of the Rings figures, not sure if they are planning to do anymore, but I've been pretty happy with what they've put out so far. Thanks for coming by and checking out the video, hey if you don't mind me asking, could you tell me if you're still able to see my newer videos showing up on your subscription feed? its been affecting a lot of viewers and just wanted to make sure you're not one of them, thanks again
I think their budget made them skimp out on some accessories. That might explain the lack of quiver & arrows. I heard from those who bought the Legolas figure that he was supposed to come with his daggers in addition to his trademark weaponry (bow & arrows), but the finalized product was delivered sans those Elven daggers.
The figure is great overall!!!! BUT the face (where shows the best of the spirit of the character!!!!!). The sculpting of the face looks quite same with Aragorn at some particular angles. But the differences between the figure and Aragorn himself becomes very obvious at the front look. I feel like the distance between eyes and eyebrows should be a little more longer. And the eyebrows can be more thicker a little bit. And... Where are Aragorn's double eyelids (maybe I doesn't see it due to the size of the screen)???🤔 The distance between 2 eyes is too long. It supposed to be about one eye distance. And the face should be thinner. Hope they spend more time on the sculpting of the face... But diamond select is much better than Toybiz and BST. Thank you for this review!!! It is really detailed.
This is a nice looking figure. The likeness of actor Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn is decent. The swords look good. However, it's odd that the figure doesn't come included with a quiver and arrows. The art work that's on the back of the box shows Aragorn with a quiver and arrows and yet, they aren't included with him, which makes no sense. Otherwise, thanks again Spot!
Okay, that's it. I gotta start getting these. I'm also laughing at the idea of me attempting to paint that necklace. Nah, I think I'll stick to posing figs.
HOLY MOLY does that look spot on! 😳

Ever since I watched the first 3 Lord of the Rings films, I've been a huge fan of this series ever since!
I feel like Diamond select announced this line such a long time ago,i can't believe they are still on the 1st wave

@@Vahki100 yeah they are taking forever just to complete the initial fellowship
@@ilkvomit88 I'll wager they'll complete the Fellowship itself. Beyond that - anything goes. We'd be lucky if we get Saruman even.
I won him recently in mint condition in an eBay auction for $20 😁⚔️🛡🏹
He's a great designed figure 😄
Just got this action figure today. It looks so badass!
I was skeptical but I quickly decided I preferred him over the toybiz superposeable ones, really sick figure

The figure looks great 👍🏻
Diamond 💎 select figures spot 👌 review 👌 video 📹

Maybe if these figures are rereleased as variants from the other movies they’ll include the missing weapons?
Gollum figure has weapons for Legolas and Aragorn, more arrows and two knives.
@@barrywells6588 did the gollum figure have the quiver for Aragon or is it just arrows
@@The_Charlester just arrows.
@@barrywells6588 ok thank you, but you wouldn’t happen to know where to get the quiver

"I would recommend paying the man" hahaha, that was actually so funny! :D Loved this review. :)
He’s just a tad too medieval to get in my “band” I’m building🧐 I’ll take that head and hands though!
Nice Review as Always, Not a big fan of Lord of the Rings but very good figure indeed
Great vid! Am not a fan of lord of the rings. But I like the details of the figures.

SWD 192. O_o No comment. Well maybe a little comment. No stand no sizzle!
Looks more like Sebastian Stan than Viggo
Gimli is awesome, so is Legolas... but Aragorn is waaaaayyyy off.
